DESTINATION DETAILS
Changxing Island, Chongming, Shanghai
Changxing Island, 2nd largest island in the mouth of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang), Shanghai municipality, China. The island has been formed through the accumulation of silt the river has carried down from its middle and upper course.
ITINERARY
Meeting & Drop off Point: Zhongshan Park Metro Station exit 8 of line 2 * Crossroad Kaixuan Road and Changning Road 凯旋路长宁路.

Day 1
Oct 3
07:30 M2adventure Team Leader will be waiting for you at the meeting point (Zhongshan park metro exit 8, we prefer to leave early on public holiday to avoid the potential traffic)
09:30 Arrive on the island and get our bikes. In total, the bike tour is about 30km, and should take us about 4.5-5 hours.
We will cycle around the island (not the whole Island) and take nice pictures. If we are lucky, we can spot some birds. 🐦Changxing Island is the home of many birds such as egrets, cranes, heron, snipe, moorhen, grackle and wagtails.
We will stop on the way (around 12:00) for a picnic lunch 🧺 (bring your own or buy on-site)
16:30 After a day of cycling, it’s time to go back to Shanghai, head full of nice memories.

SAFETY
😷 Safety policy due to concern of coronavirus
- Prepare the Shanghai Health Code
- Prepare mask for the trip, (especially for the bus drive)
- Let us know if you have symptoms such as fever, coughing or other illness prior to the trip
- Travel history transparency, please let us know if you have been to High Risk Areas in the past 30 days.
Cancellation policy:
- If you decide to cancel last minute (less than5 days in advance) you won't be able to get the deposit back.
- If the weather is really bad and represents a risk for people safety during hiking, we will cancel the trip up to 2 days in advance.
- If travelling regulations were to change due to the corona virus situation, we would cancel the trip up to 1 day in advance.
