Seaside of Beidaihe
October 26th
In this morning, your tour guide will pick you up at the meeting point shown below. Then we will head to Beidaihe.
At 12:00 we will arrive at Laolongtou-the start of the Great Wall from the sea, after lunch we will visit the old eastern starting point of the Great Wall. There you can see the initial part of Great Wall rising from the eastern sea of China. And there are also towers and buildings left by the officers and soldiers who used to guard the coastal boundary of China.

Watch the sunrise, enjoy your time in
Pigeon Nest Park
October 27th
In the morning we will rise early for the beach and watch the sunrise on the sea(voluntary) .In the south, it is a lengthy coast line with gradual slope. It has soft sand and clean water of moderate salinity, and thus is a good choice for sea bath, sand bath as well as sun bath. In the east, it is Geziwo Park, where you can enjoy the breathtaking sights of sunrise and tide.
Then we will visit Pigeon Nest Park. The park has great sight lines to the ocean. Migratory birds pass through here every year in the Spring and Autumn, so it's an ideal place for bird-watchers to visit! The park's rocky beachers are also amazing as well!
After visiting we will head back to Beijing and we are about to arrive in Beijing in the evening.

📍Beidaihe
Beidaihe is a famous and scenic summer resort located at the southwest of Qinhuangdao Municipality. An alluring coastal village with a small-town ambience, it provides a welcome break from city life. Its charm lies mostly in the lively inhabitants, bustling night stalls and, of course, the seaside views. From long stretches of pebbled sand to small coves, it is easy for travelers to escape the masses.
The region around Qinghuangdao has a temperate climate, with a monsoon cycle and four distinct seasons. It is neither too hot in the summer nor too cold in winter. On average, there are only about 8 days a year when temperatures reach 86F or higher. The lowest average temperatures rarely reach below 50F, even in the winter, thanks to the Bohai Sea currents. This makes Beidaihe convenient to visit year-round.
It is estimated that there are about 6,600 hectares of forest and more than 9 acres of wetlands within the boundaries of the Scenic Spot. It also plays an important role in many species of birds’ migratory patterns. Every spring and autumn, from mid-March to late May and early September to mid-November, flocks of birds migrating between Siberia and Southern China use Beidaihe as resting grounds.
During those periods, tourists can experience the sight of hundreds of red-crowned cranes and white storks flying through the sky. As a result, this area is considered to be China’s bird-watching mecca.
📍Laolongtou
Laolongtou（meaning the ancient dragon head） is located 5 kilometers south of Shanhaiguan District in Qinhuangdao City. It is the east start of the Ming Great Wall from the sea. It is also the only sea-land military defense system in the Great Wall that integrates mountains, sea, customs and cities. In the time of more than 600 years, Laolongtou witnessed a history that has gone through vicissitudes.
Laolongtou is 4 kilometers away from Shanhaiguan. In the Ming Dynasty, the Great Wall straddled the mountains and ridges, winding into the Bohai Sea, so the head of the Great Wall was called "Ancient Dragon Head". Laolongtou is composed of Shihai City, Jinglutai, Nanhaikou Pass and Chenghai Tower.
📍Pigeon Nest Park
A flock of water birds look for food in the Geziwo Park within the Beidaihe scenic area in Qinhuangdao, North China's Hebei province. The Beidaihe scenic area has entered its best season for birdwatching, as over 400 bird species make their stop here during their annual winter migration
