National Director with International China Concern UK
Judy travelled to China as a volunteer in 2004 and that visit changed her life. She came home from seeing the suffering of children who had been abandoned because of their disability and began to work and advocate for them. Twenty years later she has many powerful stories to tell of how children’s lives have been transformed and about ICC’s pioneering work.
Judy will be talking about her experience on that first visit and how ICC’s unique relationship and approach is reaching 100’s of children and families in need of life changing support.

At International China Concern (ICC), our priority and singular focus is helping
children with disabilities live full and meaningful lives in families and communities that treasure them.
Compassionate support for these precious children provides the essential care they need, whether living with their family, in a group home, or as they journey into adulthood.
ICC’s Family Partners Programme assists parents to support and help stabilize the family situation. ICC comes alongside children with disabilities in welfare centres to provide the nurturing environment and support services that are often lacking. Children’s lives are rejuvenated as they develop mentally, physically and socially, and their hope is restored.
ICC’s vocational program helps young adults in developing life skills, exploring vocations and receiving job training. Preparing a young person for their future opens up a whole new world of possibility and purpose.
