准格尔旗:打造“5G+智慧矿山”新标杆
Juungar Banner: Creating benchmark
In recent years, Juungar Banner has witnessed remarkable progress in the development of "5G+ smart mining". It has transformed from "human-controlled" to "digitally controlled" systems and from a "minimal workforce" to fully "unmanned" operations. These innovations have empowered the high-quality development of the coal industry.
At the Heidaigou open-pit coal mine, operated by Zhuneng Group, unmanned mining trucks – weighing more than 200 metric tons and standing over seven meters tall – navigate their routes smoothly, moving and unloading autonomously. Utilizing advanced technologies like 5G real-time data transmission and AI algorithms, Zhuneng Group has enabled mining equipment's real-time monitoring and remote control. This innovation has made mining operations safer, more efficient, and cost-effective, improving overall safety. There are currently 48 5G base stations installed at the Heidaigou mine to support these advancements.
“黑岱沟露天煤矿目前已经实现了5G网的全覆盖,具有大带宽低延时的特性。无人驾驶的传输速率相比于原来的4G网络,由原来的50到60ms,降低到了6到7ms。传输速率的降低,可以有效提高无人驾驶的控制精度。”国能准能集团黑岱沟露天煤矿智能化建设管理中心现场技术主管石峰介绍。
"The Heidaigou open-pit coal mine is fully covered by a 5G network that offers high bandwidth and low latency. The transmission speed of the unmanned trucks has significantly improved compared to the previous 4G network, with latency dropping from 50-60 milliseconds to just 6-7 ms. This improvement has greatly enhanced the precision of unmanned control." said Shi Feng, technical supervisor at the smart construction management center of the Heidaigou coal mine.
The Madiliang coal mine is the first in the country to regularly use 5G for remote control of mining machines. Over the years, the mine has applied 5G networks to remotely operate mining machines, unmanned vehicles, and belt inspection robots. It has developed 10 key smart mining systems, including the 5G+ intelligent coal mining system, remote smart warning and diagnostic systems, and robotic inspection systems. These innovations have brought underground mining tasks to the surface, enhancing safety and comfort in the work environment. As a result, the coal industry has achieved cost savings, reduced reliance on manual labor, and more intelligent extraction processes.
“下一步,我们将和华为公司、重庆梅安森公司合作进行数据治理,把我们智能化子系统的数据进行统一规范、统一编码、统一汇总,提取数据资产,为下一步挖掘数据潜能、实现矿井数字化转型奠定基础。我们准备明年建设机器人集群,进一步完善智能化子系统。”内蒙古智能煤炭有限责任公司麻地梁煤矿机电经理周宗业说。
"Our next step is to partner with Huawei and Chongqing Mas Sci and Tech Co on data governance. Our goal is to standardize, code, and integrate the data from our intelligent subsystems, extract valuable data assets, and lay the groundwork for unlocking the full potential of our data as we move toward digital transformation at the mine. Next year, we plan to build a robot cluster to enhance our intelligent subsystems." said Zhou Zongye, electromechanical manager at Madiliang coal mine of Inner Mongolia Zhineng Coal Co.
In recent years, Juungar Banner has accelerated the development of smart mining by advancing core technologies and promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation of mines. Juungar Banner has 130 coal mines, 49 of which have been transformed into smart mines. Of these, 36 have passed the final acceptance for the smart construction, and 13 are in trial operation. In the future, Juungar Banner will further harness 5G technology to achieve full intelligent mining coverage.
