2025 Board Games Culture Research Projects Bidding Announcement
In
order to further facilitate the transformation of intellectual
culture research, to promote the sound and rapid development of
domestic mind sports culture search, to help the construction of
socialist spiritual civilization, to fulfill common prosperity, to
promote the innovative development and modernization of the mind
sports culture industry, to integrate mind sports culture research
more comprehensively into various fields of digital civilization and
ecological civilization construction, to seize the opportunities of
the times, and to meet brand-new challenges, Hangzhou Branch of China
Qi-Yuan decides to launch this announcement under the frame of 2025
“16 + X” project, as a bid for the study of board games culture,
which mainly focuses on the Board Games Culture research, including
Go, Chinese chess, Chess, Five-in-a-row, Draughts and Kriegspiel.
The
relevant matters are announced as follows:
The
bidding of Board Games Culture Research topics in 2025 is closely
centered on “four focuses”: “Focusing on enhancing China’s
cultural soft power and the influence of the Chinese nation; focusing
on the arrival of the new technological revolution; focusing on
sports in a broader sense and kinesiology in a broader sense;
focusing on the development of Hangzhou and Hangzhou Branch of China
Qi-Yuan” as the central idea, forming the following themes:① Research
on the development and strategies of Board Games Culture in the
enhancement of China’s cultural soft power and the spread of
Chinese national cultural influence.② Research
on the innovative development modes and paths of Board Games
industry under the new technological revolution.③ Research
on the construction of Board Games discipline system and innovation
of talent cultivation mode oriented by adapting to the needs of
social development.④ Research
on the characteristic path and branding of the integration
development of urban culture construction and mind sports.⑤ Study
on the synergistic innovation mechanism of culture and Board Games
based on the development of Hangzhou Branch (Center).⑥ Research
on rulemaking in online Board Games.⑦ Study
on comparing the development status of domestic Board Games culture
and that of worldwide Board Games culture.⑧ Study
on Board Games education to enhance multiple intelligences.⑨ Other
Board Games culture related projects.Projects
that are approved shall be researched in accordance with the
Administrative Measures for Board Games (Intellectual) Culture
Research Topics of the Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan,and shall meet the following academic requirements:(1) Scientificity.
Submitted Papers can use systematic and scientific theory to have
research on Board Games culture. The theoretical foundation and
research methods should be with high scientificity.(2) Innovativeness.
Submitted papers can propose original opinion, innovative theory and
practice with clear thought and incisive analysis.(3) Perspectiveness.
Submitted papers can put forward the research of related regions,
fill the unknown research area.(4) Practicality.
Submitted papers can be based on China’s national conditions, for
the characteristics of China’s Board Games cultural undertakings
and industrial development, adhere to the combination of the
scientific nature of the theoretical design and the effectiveness of
the implementation, and put forward opinions or suggestions with
strong guidance and operability.Participants
can be workers engaged in chess research, lovers of chess culture
research, and researchers with unique vision and insights into the
development of the sport of chess, the size of which is not limited
to an individual or a team (no more than five members of each team).4.Final
paper requirement(1) The
final paper should be academic essay. All works should be original
and have not been published before.(2) Funding project group or individual must submit at least 1 paper to Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan(3) Word
limit is 5,000-20,000 Chinese words, maximum 30,000 words. Format
should be general academic format.(4) The
copyright belongs to author while Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan
has the right to promote (publishing, digitizing, etc.) and reprint
in any format without informing nor paying any fees to the author.(5) Those
who do not submit research achievements before deadline or submit
essays which are examined by experts as unqualified, will be forced
to start default procedure.In
order to motivate the enthusiasm of contributors to participate in
Board Games Research, increase the level and quality of projects,
Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan decides to provide funding for those
who bid. For application form please see Appendix.Both
individual and group can bid for project. Those who already received
other funding cannot bid.After
the assessment of experts organized by Hangzhou Branch of China
Qi-Yuan, those shortlisted essays will receive corresponding research
funding support.
According
to the level of difficulty and workload, projects will be classified
into three degrees: Most important projects, important projects and
general projects.Most
important projects will receive the funding support of 20000RMB;Important
projects will receive the funding support of 10000RMB;General
projects will receive the funding support of 5000RMB.
Note:The shortlisted research group must provide an electronic invoice to
receive this fund (notice will be given by the organizing committee
via announcement or email at the end of the selection process).Funding
projects take effects after the announcement published on the website
of Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan. Author and Qi-Yuan need to signProject
Funding Agreement.(1) Shortlisted
papers that are reviewed and approved by the expert group, will be
submitted to the 2025 Intellectual Culture Outstanding Paper
Selection Committee for co-ordination of the topic report or panel
presentation.(2) All
satisfactory papers will be adopted in the special intellectual
culture research book and each author will gain one of those books.(3) According
to the editing and publishing procedure of Board
Games Culture Encyclopedia,
part of excellent papers will be adopted to Board
Games Culture Encyclopedia----Research Papers.All
submitted papers will participate in the competition for the 2025
China Hangzhou International Culture Conference Excellent Papers.

If papers are found plagiarized, imitated, recomposed or using
others’ name, Hangzhou Branch of China Qi-Yuan will cancel its
qualification to apply. Those with funding support already will be
forced to taken back. Those with the behavior of tort will take legal
responsibility.(3)
