James (Jim) Cloern

Editor-in-Chief

Limnology and Oceanography Letters

James (Jim) Cloern is a coastal ecologist whose research focuses on estuarine-coastal ecosystems and their responses to climate variability and human disturbances. He is Editor of Limnology and Oceanography Letters and enjoys  sharing his experiences in scientific writing and publishing with early-career researchers.

Bridget Deemer

Research Ecologist

U.S. Geological Survey Southwest Biological Science Center

Dr. Bridget Deemer is a research ecologist at the U.S. Geological Survey Southwest Biological Science Center.  Bridget is passionate about understanding how dam management affects water quality, ecosystem productivity and greenhouse gas emissions.  Dr. Deemer enjoys scientific writing.  She co-founded a scientific writing group in graduate school and is now an Associate Editor for Limnology and Oceanography Letters.

Scott Hotaling

Assistant Professor

Department of Watershed Sciences at Utah State University

Scott Hotaling is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Watershed Sciences at Utah State University. He is a mountain ecologist who studies the impacts of climate change on high-elevation ecosystems with a particular emphasis on glacier recession and the associated changes to downstream ecosystems.

(The Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography, ASLO)成立于1936年,是全球最大的湖泊和海洋科学学会之一,致力于推动湖沼学和海洋学的研究。

Methane in freshwater, brackish and marine environments

Submission deadline: Monday, 30 June 2025
