Translation and Interpreting Part Time Teaching PositionThe successful candidates will be expected to:• Lead lectures, seminars/tutorials of undergraduate modules in the areas of Translation and Interpreting for International Business, Translation for Legal Purposes, or Translation Workshop II.• Lead the marking of coursework and exams of related modules.• Complete the moderation process of related modules and attend Summer Exam Board.• Set up office hours and respond to student enquires.• Perform teaching related administration, e.g., grade input checking.

• PhD (or near completion) in Translation and Interpreting, Translation Studies, or a related subject (candidates with a Master’s and extensive teaching experience can be considered).• Master’s in Translation and Interpreting, Translation Studies, or a related subject (essential).• Experience of teaching (ideally at the Higher Education level).• Experience of marking and moderation (ideally at the Higher Education level).

The Department of Literary and Translation Studies is home to a vibrant, dynamic, and dedicated team of local and global scholars. We provide insights into areas of romanticism and gothic studies, comparative literature, postcolonial studies, cultural translation, audio-visual translation, translation education, translation technology, and interpreting studies.Staff in the Department of Literary and Translation Studies teach a complete suite of modules in the flagship literature pathway of four English programmes: BA English Studies, BA English and Communication Studies, BA English and International Business, and BA English and Finance.
