In America, just as in Europe, men usually open doors for women, and women always walk ahead of men into a room or a restaurant, unless the men have to walk ahead of the lady:
在美国,就像在欧洲一样,男人通常为女士开门,女人总是走在男人前面进入一个房间或餐厅,除非男人不得不走在女士前面:
to choose the table, to open the door of a car or do some other things like the above.
例如选择餐位,开车门或做一些类似的事情。
On the street, men almost always walk or cross the street on the closer side of the ladies to the traffic.
在街上,男人和女人一起走路或过马路的时候,要走在离马路近的一边。
But if a man walks with two ladies, he should walk between them.
但是,如果一个男人与两个女人一块走,他应该走在两个女人的中间。
Then if the host or the hostess or both of them come in a door to get their guest for dinner, the guest should sit at the front seat and leave the back seats though there’re no people sitting on it.
然后,如果男主人或女主人或他们两个邀请来的客人吃饭,客人应该坐在前排,把后排的位置空出来,虽然没有人坐在上面。
