近日，2023年巴黎设计奖 (2023 Paris Design Awards)公布了获奖名单，NCD Studio作品《杭州西湖高尔夫》从全球众多参赛作品中脱颖而出，赢得空间+类的景观设计金奖。

PARISDesign Awards巴黎设计奖是BETTER FUTURE （旧称为DRIVENxDESIGN）旗下的国际设计奖项之一。PARISDesign Awards巴黎设计奖在全球享有盛誉，并拥有来自全球各地知名的学术领袖、科技创新者、建筑师等行业领袖组成的国际评审团，共同发现与表彰设计行业具有远见卓识的设计师及其作品。

Project Brief
During the evaluation process, the design team found that the fairways were divided mainly by black pine, sequoia, and balsam fir, which cleverly sorted the extensive course into two areas: yin and yang. The design team purposely preserved the initial context of the course, hoping to continue the essence of the golf culture through its unique aesthetic texture. The overall space is dominated by a large green grass area, using challenging materials such as rock, volcanic rock, pineapple lumber, and red brick as the structure, and planting ornamental plants such as small-leafed mango, spotted mango, bunny rabbit wolf tail, golden red wolf tail, bison grass and grandma grass to add greenery and create a natural atmosphere. The use of creeping bentgrass is the first time in the South to be used as a lawn in the orchard, which is very meaningful.

Project Innovation/Need
After many conversations between the designers and the owner and researching the course membership, it was discovered that the course was meant for people to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, get close to nature, and experience a quiet and restful time of golf. The design team used the original natural environment as the basis, relocated thousands of trees, and added some small trees and ornamental plants so that the environment could be properly returned to nature and, at the same time, construct a new look for the venue.

Design Challenge
Since the course is in a green area surrounded by mountains, with many native plants and animals, the design team has deliberately set aside more space to give the ecology a free-growing environment, hoping that through the power of nature, the course and the ecological environment can coexist harmoniously. The design team also adopts a fading technique to break up and reorganize the unique texture and wild beauty of the course to create the first native golf course in China.
Sustainability
Due to the emphasis on land waste and destruction of natural resources in China in recent years, as well as the national policy of encouraging new construction and even renovation of site landscapes, the design team took the opportunity of this site renewal design to transform and reshape the site to be functional and at the same time seamlessly in tune with nature. Also, the designers realize the goal of sustainable development.
