JLR China wins British Company of the Year at 2024 British Business Awards
11月21日,由上海英国商会主办的2024年度英国商业大奖颁奖盛典在上海举办,凭借深耕中国市场的长期承诺和积极成果,以及在中英两国经贸、文化领域交流中发挥的积极作用,捷豹路虎中国斩获“最佳英国企业奖”,继2016年后再次获得英国商业大奖系列奖项。
On November 21, the 2024 British Business Awards Ceremony Gala Dinner, hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, successfully took place in Shanghai. JLR China was honored with the British Company of the Year Award, recognizing its long-term commitment to the Chinese market and outstanding achievements. The accolade also highlights JLR’s active role in fostering economic, cultural, and trade exchanges between China and the UK. Notably, this marks the company's second British Business Award win, following its first in 2016.

The 2024 British Business Awards featured nine categories, with the British Company of the Year Award celebrating British enterprises in China that exemplify the UK’s commitment to developing sustainable businesses, innovative management approaches, and strengthened cultural ties between the two nations.

Under the House of Brands strategy, JLR has implemented several localization initiatives in China. From enhancing physical touch-points to launching the global brand experiential platform “Range Rover House” and introducing new retail models, JLR has delivered a seamless Modern Luxury experience to Chinese consumers, further solidifying each brand’s leadership in its respective segments.

JLR's dedication to high-quality products and customer service has been widely recognized this year. Defender, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models earned top rankings in studies assessing new car quality, product appeal, after-sales service, and intelligent features. Additionally, Land Rover secured the top spot for customer service satisfaction among premium brands in the J.D. Power 2024 China Customer Service Index (CSI) StudySM.

In response to evolving market trends and consumer demands, JLR pioneered a new joint venture collaboration model, setting a benchmark for China-UK collaboration in the automotive sector. In June of this year, JLR and Chery Automobile signed a Letter of Intent to license the Freelander brand to Chery Jaguar Land Rover, supporting the development of electric vehicles in China and offering consumers more diverse choices.

Beyond delivering exceptional products and services, JLR remains dedicated to advancing its corporate social responsibility efforts to generate long-term value for customers, partners, industries, and society. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the “China Soong Ching Ling Foundation JLR China Children & Youth Dream Fund.” As a dedicated participant in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for seven consecutive years, JLR invited teachers and students from JLR Hope School to visit the Expo.
The event, held under the patronage of Dame Caroline Wilson DCMG, British Ambassador to China, became a standout for China-UK cultural exchange. Over the past decade, the Dream Fund has made significant contributions to Education, Social Care, and China-UK Cultural Exchange through extensive philanthropic initiatives. Winning the British Company of the Year Award underscores JLR’s achievements and development in China. Looking ahead, JLR will continue to deepen China-UK cooperation, leveraging its capabilities and innovation to support the sustainable development of China’s automotive industry. At the same time, the company will further enhance cross-sector collaboration between China and the UK, embodying the sense of responsibility expected of a leading example in China-UK economic and trade partnership.
