起源
👻Halloween's origins can be traced back to ancient Celtic harvest festivals, called Samhain, in which the Celts ritually ended the summer harvest season and ushered in the winter season. Samhain was also believed to be a time when the veil between the living and the dead was particularly thin, allowing spirits and ghosts to crossover.
万圣节的起源可以追溯到古代凯尔特人的丰收节，称为萨温节，凯尔特人在这一天结束了夏季的收获季节，迎来了冬季。萨温节也被认为是生者和逝者间屏障最薄的时候，这使得灵魂和鬼魂能够穿越这道屏障。
👻When the Celts were Christianized, All Saints'Day was established on November 1st as a day to honor all saints andmartyrs. The eve of this day became known as All Hallows' Evelater anglicized to Halloween. Over time, Halloween's paganroots were merged with Christian elements, resulting in a holiday that is both sacred and profane.
当凯尔特人被基督教化后，圣灵节被设立在11月1日，作为纪念所有圣徒和殉道者的日子。这一天的前夜被称为AllHallows'eve，后来被英语化为Halloween。随着时间的推移，万圣节的异教根源与基督教元素独合在一起，形成了一个既神圣又世俗的节日。

传统习俗
盛装是最受欢迎的万圣节风俗之一，尤其是受孩子们的欢迎。按照传统习俗，人们会盛装(穿戴一些特殊的服饰，面具或者装饰)来吓跑鬼魂。
孩子们在社区里挨家挨户地要糖果或其他小礼物作为表演恶作剧或讲万圣节笑话的交换。
黑色是夜晚的象征，而橙黑色和橙色仍然是万圣节前夜的一部分，橙色代表着南瓜。南瓜灯是用雕刻成脸型，中间挖空，再插上蜡烛的南瓜做成的，带来一个毛骨悚然的灼热面孔。
