从《Space Intruders》到《Intruders》
仅仅是混音吗？

一切都始于2020年夏天，新冠疫情席卷全球。当时我们在成都与一位摄影师朋友进行了一次乐队拍摄。在拍摄过程中，我认识了一个女孩，Tin。她在拍摄时负责化妆，同时也在探索自己的艺术事业。
it all started during summer 2020, the covid hit the whole world and we had a band photo shooting in Chengdu with a photographer friend. During the shooting i met a girl, Tin. She was doing some make-ups for photoshoots while building her artist’s career.
我不知道为什么，但我们立刻成了好朋友，并且能够感受到，我们有一天会共同创作些什么。
I don’t know why, but we instantly became good friends and it could feel that we will work on something together one day.
因为这就是我进行视觉创作的方式：把我喜欢的人、欣赏的人，以及一些看似怪异的物品和场景放进“灵感箱子”里，等之后再看怎样能组合这些元素……
Because this is the way i work on my visuals, i just put people i like, i admire, along with odd objects and places in a box and see later how i can make combinations of those elements…
时间一晃到了2021年秋天，我正在准备一个大型MV的分镜。MV分为两部，第一部是《Capture The Star》，第二部是《Space Intruders》。
Time passed and during autumn 2021, i was preparing storyboards in order to shoot a big MV separated into two parts (part one would be for the «Capture The Star» song and the other one for the «Space Intruders» song)
第一部《Capture The Star》MV讲述的是：一个高挑的女孩用一种怪异的方式打扮她的模特们，进行一场古怪的时装秀。最后发现这一切其实是一个小女孩的天马行空的梦境 --- 她在玩具中入睡，幻想出了这个故事。MV的结尾是她梦中的一个角色跳窗而出，进入了现实世界。

For part 1 ( «Capture the star» MV ), the story was : a tall girl is preparing (in a freaky way) her models in order to make an odd fashion show . At the end, we would realise that it was a whole dream coming from a creative little girl’s mind falling asleep on her toys. The MV ended with one of the character from her dream escaping through the window in the real world.
End.
第二部《Space Intruders》MV，我想为那个“跳出窗外”的角色赋予一个具体的身份。她可能是一个在夜晚猎捕监控摄像头的女孩，试图将这些冷冰冰没有灵魂的机器变得更有诗意……
For part 2 («Space intruders MV»), I was already thinking about giving a real identity to that «jumping out from the window» character. It would be a girl, hunting security cameras at night in order to turn those soulless machine into something more poetic…
同样在2021年秋天，我在北京待了几天，在那里我又遇见了Tin。经过几次长聊，我觉得她非常适合演MV中的猎人角色。并且，她总是随身携带一些毛线编织东西，突然我觉得一切都完整了（灵感大增）—— 她可以把那些摄像头变成毛线生物。MV中她扮演的这个不停奔跑的角色灵感也来源于她在晨跑时，我骑车跟在她后面看到的样子……
That same autumn 2021, I spent a few days in Beijing, and i met Tin there. And through long conversations with her i really thought she could play that hunter in the MV. And because she’s carrying all the time some wool to weave, it suddenly made everything complete for me. She could turn those cameras into woolen creatures. This running character she’s playing is also coming from the moment i was riding bike following her doing her daily morning run…
《Space Intruders》这首歌终于有了完整的主角。
The song Space intruders finally met its complete main character.
但不幸的是，拍摄计划在疫情期间多次被打断，上海的封城对她来说是个障碍，而成都的封城对我们来说也是如此……即使所有道具和拍摄细节都已准备就绪，我仍然不知道是否真的可以继续这个项目……
But unfortunately, the shooting plan has been broken many times during the covid era, lockdown in Shanghai for her, lockdown in Chengdu for us…and even we did prepare all the props and everything.. i didn’t know if i really could continue this project..
最初我尝试把镜头粘在真花上

幸好后来换成了塑料花
Fortunately i changed my mind
and use plastic flowers
2022年秋天，我们乐队准备发布新专辑《Eroded Creation侵蚀体》，那时候我只完成拍摄了一部MV《Capture The Star》。由于时间紧迫，就只能先发布这一个MV。
In autumn 2022, our band was ready to release our «Eroded Creation» album and at that moment , i only had shot one MV («Capture The Star»). Sadly, lack of time, considering «Capture The Star» as a single MV was the only option.
2023年春天，在《Eroded Creation侵蚀体》巡演期间，我仍希望能够拍摄第二部MV。经过几个月的准备，包括Tin编织了毛线生物和为MV准备的毛线服装，我们终于在7月与我们的老搭档摄影师国帅做好拍摄这部MV的准备。
In spring 2023, during our «Eroded Creation Tour», i still hoped than i could shoot that second MV and, after a few months of preparation, including Tin weaving woolen creatures and woolen outfits for the MV, we were finally ready to shoot that MV in July with my loyal cameraman Guoshuai.

可惜糟糕的事情还是发生了。拍摄因为各种意外被迫中断，过于谨慎的人们阻止了拍摄。就这样。
Shit happened. Paranoid earthlings stopped the shooting.
That’s it.
Tin准备前往柏林留学，而我们手里只有半部MV……
Tin was ready to go to Berlin to study abroad for a long time and we only had half an MV…
已有的镜头素材长度撑不住近7分钟的MV时长……
The shots weren’t enough to last for the almost 7mns MV…
一切戛然而止。

这些拍好的镜头我保留了近一年，实在无法忍受让它们在硬盘里囚禁这么久，于是在2024年春游音乐节的演出中，我让其中一些镜头“逃脱”并用它们来为演出收尾。乐队和我收到了许多让人暖心和惊喜的反馈。演出后，许多人前来与我谈论这些镜头。
I kept those shots for almost a year and because i couldn’t stand to keep them prisoner in my hard drive for so long, i let some of those shots escape and use them to close our show during our performance at the Chunyou festival in 2024. The band and I had heart-warming and surprising feedbacks. A lot of people came to me to talk about those shots.
随后，我和乐队决定为《Space Intruders》这首歌制作一个较短的版本，以适配我手上仅有的镜头。
Afterwards i decided along with the band to do a shorter version of the Space intruders song to fit the only shots i had.
歌曲完成后，我在2024年5月和7月花了两个月时间试图修补这个支离破碎的故事，重新调整内容，尽管在缺少大量元素和演员的情况下，制作出一个尽可能还原意义的剪辑版。
After the song was done, i spent two months in May and July 2024 trying to fix my broken story, re-adapting in order do make a montage which could make sense despite those too many missing elements and actors…
此外，我和国帅拍摄了最后几个镜头（大部分是在雨天和灰蒙蒙的天空下），内容是街头的花朵和毛线装饰的摄像头。
Besides, with Guoshuai we shot (mostly under the rain and grey skies) the last few shots with flowers and woolen cameras in the streets.
最后一次拍摄后的两天，
我发现自己忘了带走拍摄现场的几朵花，
它们还静静地留在那里。
Two days after the last shots i realised i forgot some flowers on the spot.They were still here.
因为Tin不在，来自成都的另一位朋友Mi'ao接手完成了剩余的毛线道具，修补并制作了最后的三个“电杆上的摄像头”。
Because of Tin’s absence, another friend from Chengdu Mi’ao completed the last woolen props by doing some corrections and the last three cameras on the stick.
这个MV的分镜创作始于2021年秋天，如今在2024年的秋天终于面世。
This MV started as a storyboard in autumn 2021 and it is finally out this autumn 2024.
我在疫情期间的创作，终于划上了句号。
My covid era work is finally over.

I thank all the patient and talented people around me making this project finally becoming real.
