The Mantis Project 成立于2013年初的深圳，是在这座城市推动各种多样的地下音乐风格（如techno、house、drum n bass、trance和psytrance）的先锋。迄今为止可能是深圳最老牌的电子音乐派对系列。除了举办活动之外，The Mantis Project 通过介绍和展示新人DJ，在培养本地音乐场景方面发挥了关键作用，这些DJ后来成为深圳一些最杰出的音乐才华。该项目的遗产融入深圳音乐文化的充满活力的织物中，是这座城市创新和才华发展的催化剂。

The Mantis Project, founded in early 2013 in Shenzhen, has been a pioneer in promoting diverse underground music styles such as techno, house, drum n bass, trance, and psytrance in the city. It is likely the oldest electronic music party series in Shenzhen to date. Beyond hosting events, The Mantis Project has played a pivotal role in fostering the local music scene by introducing and showcasing new DJs, many of whom have gone on to become some of Shenzhen’s most prominent musical talents. The legacy of this project is woven into the vibrant fabric of Shenzhen's music culture, serving as a catalyst for innovation and talent development in the city.

Every month, The Mantis Project arrives punctually on Thursday, infusing your evening with a pre-weekend dose of joy. On January 16th, we’re thrilled to bring you a high-energy yet nostalgic rave experience with Leevo, Tynee, and Chris Nanite.

LEEVO

The Mantis Project的原始成员，来自黑海沿岸的LEEVO，从小就沉浸在音乐和舞蹈中。受到The Prodigy和Richie Hawtin等艺术家的影响，他在House＆Techno中融入了欧洲和中东的元素。自2014年以来在深圳经营夜总会，LEEVO通过DJ表达对音乐的热爱，以独特风格连接舞池上的人们，赢得社区的支持和尊重。

Original member of The Mantis Project, LEEVO, from the Black Sea shores, immersed in music and dance since childhood. Influenced by artists like The Prodigy and Richie Hawtin, he brought a fusion of European and Middle Eastern vibes to House & Techno. Managing clubs in Shenzhen since 2014, LEEVO shares his love for music through DJing, connecting people on the dance floor with his unique style, earning community support and respect.

Chris Nanite

Chris Nanite 是一位来自南非约翰内斯堡、现居深圳的DJ和音乐制作人。Chris以其多元化的音乐风格而闻名，从Deep House到Bass House，再到Tech House、G-House、Peak Time Techno、Afro Tech和Dub Techno，他无所不包。他的音乐已在多个唱片公司发行，包括 MudPie Records（南非) Pinky Thumb Records（南非）Weird Records（巴西）Caffeine House Records（莫桑比克）Deep Side Crew Records（莫桑比克）Gangsta House Records（芬兰）。

Christopher James Nagel (born October 1, 1998) is a South African DJ and music producer, born in Johannesburg and currently based in Shenzhen. He is better known by his stage name, Chris Nanite.

Chris is known for producing and performing a wide variety of genres, including Deep House, Bass House, Tech House, G-House, Peak Time Techno, Afro Tech, and Dub Techno. His music has been released on numerous record labels, such as:

Chris started producing music and DJing at the age of 16 and has developed a distinct sound described as grimy and groovy, dark and filthy. He draws inspiration from artists such as Deadmau5, Skrillex, Martin Ikin, Shadow Child, Kyle Watson, Daniel Avery, Pleasurekraft, and Stefan Bodzin, among others.

Tynee

在纽约市长大的 Tynee（本名 Elaine Shin）对电子音乐有着强烈的热情，这种热情在她 7 岁时就开始显现，那一年，她自豪地拥有了自己的第一台 Ghetto Blaster。她对音乐的痴迷和所有细致入微的细节都预示着未来的发展。

回到香港后，她被当时英国地下的 Progressive 和 Breakbeat 俱乐部运动所震撼。她与当地的俱乐部推广人员合作，让 Sven Vath、Deep Dish、DubFire、Carl Cox、Roni Size 等国际传奇人物首次亮相。DJ 带来的新声音的诱惑很快改变了她在俱乐部领域的地位和角色。2005 年冬，她在 Volar 找到了自己的第一个俱乐部驻场。随后，她在 W 酒店、ZUMA、M1NT、DROP、Giorgio Armani 酒吧、Aqua Group 酒吧和餐厅，以及 Vivien Westwood、H&M 和 Adidas 等全球大型零售专营店工作。Tynee 的独特风格为她赢得了与 Derrick May、Darren Emerson、M.A.N.D.Y.等传奇人物合作的机会。

作为香港最前沿的 DJ 之一，Tynee 因其不拘一格的 minimal 和 breakbeat 之旅、电子科技音响和酸性节奏以及引人入胜的旋律而深受喜爱。

Growing up in NYC, Tynee ( Real name Elaine Shin ) had a strong passion for electronic music that became apparent by age 7; the year she became a proud owner of her first Ghetto Blaster. Her obsession with music and all its meticulous details were a sign of things to come.

Returning to Hong Kong, she was blown away by the underground U.K. Progressive and Breakbeat club movement taking place at the time. She worked with club promoters there to debut international legends like Sven Vath, Deep Dish, DubFire, Carl Cox, Roni Size etc,.The allure of new sounds that the DJ introduced soon shifted her position and role in the club realm. In the winter of 2005, she landed her first club residence at Volar. Followed by the W Hotel, ZUMA, M1NT, DROP, Giorgio Armani Bar, Aqua Group Bar and Restaurants, to gigantic global retail franchises like Vivien Westwood, H&M and Adidas. Tynee’s unique style landed her gigs locally and internationally with legends like Derrick May, Darren Emerson, M.A.N.D.Y., and others.

As one of Hong Kong’s most cutting edge DJs, Tynee is loved for her eclectic minimal and breakbeat journeys, electrified tech sounds and acid laced beats, and compelling melodic grooves.
