Tulane University School of Medicine, located in the city of New
Orleans, LA, is a world-leading center for medical research and innovation.
Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Jia Fan, who has recently
received a high-end instrument grant from the National Institutes of Health
(NIH) to support cutting-edge proteomics method development, this position
offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research
projects aimed at understanding the proteomic complexities of various diseases
and biological processes.Join our interdisciplinary team, which spans biology, chemistry, and
bioinformatics. We are focused on discovering biomarkers for early disease
diagnosis and prognosis. Our work emphasizes the use of advanced mass
spectrometry (including single-cell and spatial proteomics) techniques for
proteomics, protein/peptide characterization, and the analysis of extracellular
vesicles as biomarkers in the progression of cancer and infectious diseases.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Recent Ph.D. in in protein mass spectrometry, proteomics, or
related field, with demonstrated skills in analytical chemistry, MALDI,
LC-MS/MS2. Research experience in nano/micro scale liquid
chromatography, electrospray ionization, high resolution mass spectrometry,
protein biochemistry, bottom-up/single-cell/spatial proteomics including
project design, sample preparation and data analysis, PTM identification.
