At the end of 2019, I was invited to join a watercolor painting WeChat group. This group called the International Watercolor Painters Alliance is very lively. The group comments on painting techniques and displays various works. It is a vibrant watercolor group. Because of watercolor, I met Hua Jianfeng in this group, and he and I had more interactions.He loved painting since he was a child, and easily passed the college entrance examination to major in fine arts. After graduation, he was engaged in non-art-related jobs such as land and architectural planning, interior design, and training and education, which caused his painting skills to be neglected for many years. An encounter with a sketching group of painters rekindled his passion for painting. In 2017, he picked up the paintbrush he had discarded for more than 20 years and began to pursue his artistic dream.Hua Jianfeng, whom I met at the end of 2019, has won many international awards. He took the initiative to contact me in the alliance group and asked me about some watercolor painting issues. I admire this junior’s tireless research spirit and often exchange some of my opinions and ideas with him. After continuous in-depth exchanges, he deepened his understanding of watercolor painting, gradually realized some essential things in watercolor and painting, had his own understanding and breakthrough, and gradually formed his own style. In the past few years of interacting with him, we can see that he has become more and more unique and creative in his painting.In terms of art, everyone has their own vision, and no one can set any rules for you. The perception of art only exists in one's heart and expresses thoughts and emotions, rather than blindly following others. Teacher Hua has been walking in this direction as he pleases, and has led many people to explore in this area. The members of their alliance have repeatedly won rich awards in international competitions, and everyone is happy and blessing each other. Everyone's small progress is also a big step forward for the development of the alliance team. Happy to paint and be my truest self, I think the purpose of the alliance he established may also be this, because nowadays many people do not know the meaning of painting and have lost their direction.I think that if watercolor is to continue to develop, there must be groups and pioneers like the Alliance. Just like the Dutch Minor School of the 17th century, the Barbizon School of Fontainebleau in France in the mid-19th century, and later the Impressionism that showed the modernity of real life and opened up new horizons and new paths for the world. Now as the international influence of the alliance has become greater, the organization has participated in and hosted many domestic and international watercolor competitions. Teacher Hua has also been invited to participate in many international exhibitions and competitions, and has won many awards and honors in international competitions. He has also been invited to be a guest artist in international competitions, participated in some international celebrity invitational exhibitions, and served as a judge at international competitions.I have basically seen all of Mr. Hua Jianfeng’s paintings in the past few years. Team operations usually take up time and energy, but his watercolor works have gradually become more mature and more individual. Each stage is different. Developing upward. With his natural and bright painting style, he can easily control various scenes, themes and contents. Although he has few dazzling skills, he is very full of color, light and body shaping in the picture. I feel that Teacher Hua's works have a free and easy attitude!I personally like the horses painted by Teacher Hua very much. In the eyes of us Chinese, horses have noble character; in social production and labor, horses are powerful partners of human beings; in galloping on the battlefield, horses are the most loyal comrades of soldiers; in people's minds In Chinese mythology, the horse is a symbol of the dragon-horse spirit and a manifestation of national prosperity. Horses are the embodiment of strength, speed, and freedom. Horses give people a spirit of vigor and upward energy.When he painted horses, he tried to create various majestic postures of unrestrained horses to express his own feelings. This is also where Teacher Hua’s personality, thoughts and feelings lie. In Teacher Hua’s series of horse works, all I have seen are unbridled wild horses, which are used to express the unrestrained and unrestrained personality of galloping horses. Teacher Hua loves to paint galloping horses flying in the air. Coupled with his solid modeling skills, skilled and strong brushwork, light and color processing, and the shaping of dusty layers, it is really a joyful, unrestrained and romantic feeling! The work also has a national bearing, and the spirit of the horse is inspiring and touching. The work is very contemporary and carries the spirit of the times. Because of this, his horse works are very popular among collectors in China, North America and East and Southeast Asia.Teacher Hua is a very humble and hard-working person. Just like his works left me with the impression of pragmatic and passionate creation and life!Teacher Hua is also an impressive middle-aged man like a big boy, full of energy and ideas, not pedantic, broad-minded and enthusiastic towards others. He calls me master, and I try my best to guide him when I have time, but I refuse to let him worship me as his teacher, because the path of art requires his own perception and innovation. The person who teaches you is just leading a part of your artistic journey, and the future will always be changing. If we have to teach in the name of a teacher, there will be a lot of chaos in the future where teachers are inherited from ancestors, and there will be gangs everywhere, which will stir up a vat of muddy water and destroy our original intention for art.Finally, I wish Teacher Hua Jianfeng to go further and further in the path of watercolor art and paint more eye-catching works! May we all forge ahead on this artistic road, and poetry and distance will last forever!

2019年底的时候我被邀请进了一个画水彩的微信群，这个叫国际水彩画家联盟的群非常热闹，群里评论绘画技艺，展示着各种作品，是一个透着勃勃生机的水彩群。因为水彩，在这个群里认识了华剑峰，他与我便有了更多的交流。幼年就喜爱绘画的他，高考轻松考上了大学美术专业。毕业后却从事国土建筑规划、室内设计和培训教育等与艺术无关的工作，使得绘画技艺荒废多年。一次与画家写生群的邂逅，重新激发了他对绘画的热情。2017年，他重拾了丢弃了二十多年的画笔，开始追逐自己的艺术梦想。2019年底我认识的华剑峰已经获得了很多国际奖项，他在联盟群里主动联络我，向我请教一些水彩绘画问题，我欣赏这个后辈孜孜不倦的钻研精神,经常与他交流自己的一些看法和见解，在不断深入交流后，他加深了对水彩画的理解，逐渐悟出水彩和绘画上一些本质的东西，有了自己的理解和突破，并逐步形成了自己的风格。与他交往的这几年中，可以看到他在绘画道路上，越来越有自己的个性和创意。从艺术上来说，每个人都会有自己的眼光，不需要也没人能给你定什么规矩。艺术的感悟只存于个人的内心，表达出思想和情绪，而不是盲目的跟行。华老师一直随心而动走在这个方向上，而且引带着很多人在这方面探索着。他们联盟的成员们在国际比赛上屡屡获得了丰硕的奖项，大家都是欢欣鼓舞相互祝福。每个人的小进步也都是联盟团队发展前进的一大步。开心画画做最真实的自己，我想他建立的联盟的目地或许也是在此，因为当下确实很多人不知绘画的意义在哪里，失去了方向。我倒是觉得水彩这个画种要继续发展，就要有像联盟这样的团体和开拓者。就像是十七世纪的荷兰小画派、十九世纪中叶的法国枫丹白露的巴比松画派，以及后来展现了真实生活的现代性、为世界开启了新视野和新道路的印象派一样。现在随着联盟国际影响力变得更大，组织参加和举办了很多国内国际的水彩赛事。华老师也被邀请参加了许多国际展览和赛事，获得了很多国际赛事的奖项和荣誉，更被邀请为国际赛事的客座艺术家、参加一些国际名家邀请展并在国际赛事上当评委。华剑峰老师这几年的画作基本上我都是看到过的，平时团队运作的事情比较耽误时间精力，但他的水彩作品却还是逐渐中变得成熟而更有个性，每一个阶段都在向上发展。画风自然色彩明快的他能轻松驾驭各种场景题材和内容，少有耀技的他对画面的色彩光感以及形体塑造却非常充分，感受到华老师的作品有着潇洒自如的姿态！我个人很喜欢华老师画的骏马，在我们中国人眼中马有高尚的品格；在社会生产劳动中，马是人类有力的伙伴；在驰骋疆场中，马是战士最忠实的战友；在人们心目中，马是龙马精神的象征，也是民族兴旺的体现。马是力量、速度、自由的化身，马给人一种朝气蓬勃奋发向上的精神力量。他画的马并力图塑造无羁骏马各种雄姿，借以抒发自己情怀。这也是华老师的个性和思想感情所在。华老师一系列马的作品，我所见到的都是无羁野马，借以表达天马行空，奔马疾驰无羁的刚毅个性。华老师爱画腾空飞扬奔驰的群马，再加上他坚实的造型功底，熟练的刚健用筆，光线及色彩运用处理，尘土飞扬層次的塑造，真是大有痛快淋漓、潇洒风流之感！作品还带有民族气度，神骏气昂奋发感人。作品很有时代感，它承载着时代精神。正因如此他的骏马作品在国内、北美和东亚东南亚等地都颇受收藏者喜爱。华老师是一个很谦逊努力的人，就像他的作品给我留下的印象是务实并富有激情的创作和生活！
华老师也是一位让人印象深刻的大男孩式的中年男人，充满了活力特别有想法，没有迂腐之气，心怀宽广且待人热情。他喊我师父，我有时间指点引导他时就尽力而为，但我却不肯让他拜我为师，因为艺术之路需要自己的感悟并创新。教导你的人只是领引了你艺术行程上的一段，未来的永远都在变化中。如果非要以师的名义来指教，以后又会多出好多师承祖传的乱象，到处是帮派林立的山头，多到搅起了一缸浑水，坏了我们对艺术的初心。最后祝华剑峰老师在水彩艺术的道路越走越远，画出更多让人眼前一亮的作品！愿我们大家都在这艺术路上砥砺前行，诗和远方直到永远！

Hua Jianfeng(china)
Hua Jianfeng, a Chinese watercolor painter, watercolor event promoter and curator, has held many domestic and international watercolor competitions, and is the founder of IFWP (International Federation of Watercolor Painters).
He has participated in and participated in hundreds of international and domestic exhibitions and competitions. He has won awards in many international watercolor competitions and been invited to participate in exhibitions. In 2019, he was invited to the Malaysian International Masters Invitational Exhibition and the 2021 IWM British Masters Exhibition as a special guest artist. He has attracted much attention domestically, as well as in North America, East Asia, and Southeast Asia, and his works are collected by galleries and private individuals. His works cover a wide range of subjects, including figures, landscapes, animals and still lifes, all with distinctive personalities and characteristics.
华剑峰，中国水彩画家，水彩活动推广和策展人，多次举办过国内和国际水彩赛事，IFWP国际水彩画家联盟(International Federation of Watercolour Painters)创建人。参加参与过上百次国际国内的展览和赛事，多次国际水彩赛事获得大奖并受邀参展。2019年受邀马来西亚国际名家邀请展，2021年IWM英国大师展特邀客座艺术家。国际创艺IFAM水彩机构展事推广及国际水彩赛事评委。新加坡JOYMEART美术教育机构艺术指导。日本诸多水彩名家特约专辑制作推广人，日本KET广悦堂国际水彩普及协会邀展画家，2022年作品在东京银座画廊美术馆展出。在国内以及北美洲和东亚、东南亚地区都备受关注，画廊和私家均有收藏其作品。他作品内容涵盖广泛，人物风景、动物静物等各种题材都有着鲜明的个性和特色。
