The highly anticipated new movie "The Last Dance" produced by AMTD's World Media and Entertainment Group achieved massive success on its first day of release on November 9.
The movie immediately broke the record for the highest number of showings in the past ten years in Hong Kong, with more than a thousand screenings scheduled in Hong Kong and Macau on the debut day. Meanwhile, its first day's box office also broke the historic record for the highest opening day box office in Hong Kong. As of 5pm, the movie's cumulative box office exceeded HK$5.55 million, surpassing the previous record holder of "Cold War II" with HK$5.39 million, the second place of "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" with HK$5.19 million, and the third place of "Six Million Dollar Man" with HK$5 million. By 7pm, the box office reached HK$6 million, making the record a new-high.
