2024年9月15日，中国驻布里斯班总领馆副总领事李素云应邀出席由昆士兰大学中国学生学者联合会主办、昆士兰科技大学、格里菲斯大学中国学联等社团共同协办的中秋晚会并致辞。布里斯班市长代表、市议员沃尔夫，知名汉学家马克林、澳中友协秘书长陆平、阳光商会主席庄永新、中澳学生等500余人出席活动。
On 15 September 2024, Deputy Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Ms LI Suyun was invited to attend the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala at the University of Queensland and delivered a speech. The event was hosted by UQCSSA, and co-organized by the Chinese Students and Scholars Association from Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University and other student associations. Representative of the Lord Mayor of Brisbane,Cr Penny Wolff, Australian Sinologist Professor Colin Mackerras AO, Secretary of Australia-China Friendship Society Professor Lu Ping,President of Sunnybank Chamber of Commerce Mr Peter Zhuang, and more than 500 Chinese and Australian students attended the event.
李副总向来宾致以亲切的节日问候，并表示中秋晚会是海外中国学子的聚会，更是一次跨越国界的文化交流。她勉励中国留学生在海外求学的道路上勤奋学习，不断提升综合素质；介绍中华文化，讲好中国故事，做中澳友好交流的使者；成长独立，开拓创新，展现中国当代青年的风采和担当。
Ms Li extended cordial festival greetings to the guests , and said that the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala was not only a gathering of overseas Chinese students, but also a cultural exchange across national boundaries. She encouraged Chinese students to study hard and improve their comprehensive quality; introduce Chinese culture, tell China's stories, and become ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and Australia; grow up independently, pioneer and innovate, and show the demeanor and sense of responsibility of contemporary Chinese youth.
