Are you traveling with your pets this year? If you may be leaving this year or next, now is the time to begin preparing your pets for export. Pet owners have many questions about air travel with pets. Join ICVS on September 7, 2024 for our online Departing from China With Pets information session. We will provide advice on:
Newest USA CDC dog import regulations which came into effect on August 1, 2024. Find out the new changes and how you will be affected when bringing dogs into the USA
A brief highlight of more significant changes after August 1st include:
Additional costs to import dogs to the USA
Dogs who do not have USA administered rabies vaccinations must now enter the USA through airports in 6 cities with designated animal care facilities (ATL, LAX, MIA, IAD, JFK, PHL airports)
All dogs must be examined by a USA veterinarian and rabies vaccinated after arrival
Dogs entering the USA must still have ISO microchip, rabies vaccination and qualified rabies antibody titre test
Only after examination and rabies vaccination at one of the 6 designated animal care facilities may dogs may then travel to final destination cities and states
A new USA CDC rabies vaccination and microchip certificate and dog import form will be required to be completed for all dogs traveling to the USA from China
The temporary suspension has been rescinded and the USA CDC will no longer accept dog import permits after July 31, 2024
All import permits for dogs granted by the USA CDC by or before July 31st will only be valid until August 31, 2024.

NEWEST PRC Customs and Quarantine Bureau requirements affecting pet export from China and import AFTER THE PANDEMIC to the EU, UK, UAE, USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and other popular destination countries will be shared!
ICVS
has helped pets from China depart for more than 180 destination
countries. We have been working with the PRC Entry-Exit Quarantine and
Inspection Bureau since 1996 and have cumulative and comprehensive
knowledge of the regulations that we share with pet owners. The ICVS
official Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (e.g., vaccination red
books) are the gold standard in China and help pet owners ensure a
smooth experience at the time of the mandatory exit health examination
at the Quarantine Bureau.
ICVS offers its express and affordable rabies antibody titre testing service for departing pets in all provinces. Please join the experts from ICVS as we provide guidance on import and export requirements for all countries with specific focus on strict quarantine control destinations and rabies antibody titre testing and other requirements, including the European Union, UK, USA, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Israel, Serbia, Ukraine, Turkey and more! The rabies antibody tire test for EU/UK entry is good for the life of the pet as long as the pet is rabies vaccinated annually before the vaccination expiration date. Completing the rabies antibody titre test as soon as you know you may be relocating to the EU/UK will help prevent delays should you need to leave China on short notice or earlier than planned.
The International Center for Veterinary Services is an officially designated animal vaccination hospital and can provide the required legal rabies vaccination and official vaccination certificate for export, microchipping and rabies antibody titre testing for EU, UK, USA and all other countries.
