See Kye Yak, He received the B.Eng degree (1st Class Hons) from National University of Singapore and the PhD degree from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, in 1986 and 1997, respectively. He was with Singapore Technologies Electronics as a Senior Engineer from 1986 to 1991 and held the position of Lead Design Engineer in ASTEC Custom Power (Hong Kong) from 1991 to 1994. Since 1997, he has been a faculty member in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NTU, Singapore. He was appointed as Director of SMRT-NTU Smart Urban Rail Corporate Laboratory from 2016 to 2022. Currently, he holds the appointment as Director of Electromagnetic Effects Research Laboratory (EMERL). His research interests are EMI, EMC and condition monitoring of electrical infrastructure. He has been the Managing Editor of the IEEE EMC Magazine since January 2012 and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on EMC since January 2024. For his research contribution in Singapore, he was conferred the National Day Award–Public Administration Medal (Bronze) from the Prime Minister Office of Singapore in 2021. In 2023, he co-founded a company, SenseID Technology Pte Ltd, to commercialize the technologies developed by his research team. |
