2024年11月9日，第十二届上汽设计国际挑战赛闭幕式暨颁奖典礼在上汽设计中心顺利举办！

On November 9, 2024, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 12th SAIC Design International Challenge was successfully held at SAIC Design Center!

11月8日下午，本届大赛全球总决赛在上汽设计中心拉开帷幕，来自外部行业专家和上汽内部专家组成的总决赛评审团共同审阅了选手们的最终汇报，并依据“贴切主题占比40%、技能潜力占比35%、造型美观占比25%”的比重——进行作品评分。

On the afternoon of November 8th, the global finals of this competition kicked off at SAIC Design Center. The final judging panel, consisting of external industry experts and internal experts from SAIC, jointly reviewed the contestants' final reports and rated their works based on the proportion of "appropriate theme accounting for 40%, skill potential accounting for 35%, and aesthetic appearance accounting for 25%".

中国设计学理论家、设计教育家、学者王受之老师担任上汽设计国际挑战赛外部评审团主席。上汽集团创新研发总院总设计师、上汽英国技术中心总经理邵景峰先生则担任大赛的上汽设计评审团主席。外部评审团嘉宾顺序以地域（海内外）及姓名首字母排序。

Professor Wang Shouzhi, a Chinese design theorist, design educator, and scholar, serves as the chairman of the external judging panel for the SAIC Design International Challenge. Mr. Shao Jingfeng, Chief Designer of SAIC Group Innovation and Research Institute and General Manager of SAIC UK Technology Center, serves as the Chairman of the SAIC Design Jury for the competition. The order of guests on the external judging panel is sorted by region (domestic and international) and their initials.

After intense competition, the final list of winners has been freshly announced! Luke Veevers from Royal College of Art won the European competition championship, while Amirjan Ablimit from East China University of Science and Technology won the overall championship in the Chinese competition!

其实，这已经是阿米尔江同学第二次参加上汽设计国际挑战赛，上一次参赛遗憾止步百强，但他并未放弃，经过一年的努力，他终于重回赛场凭实力夺得最终总冠军！

In fact, this is already Amirjan's second time participating in the SAIC Design International Challenge. Unfortunately, he was eliminated from the top 100 in the previous competition, but he did not give up. After a year of hard work, he finally returned to the field and won the final championship with his strength!

每一届上汽设计国际挑战赛的成功举办都离不开企业端和高校端的共同努力。作为大赛最后的收官仪式，本次闭幕式暨颁奖典礼活动我们按照惯例邀请来自设计行业及全国高等设计院校的众多老师嘉宾汇聚一堂，促进行业交流，致力于树立全国汽车设计领域通过校企合作推动行业发展变革和人才挖掘培养的典范。

The successful hosting of every SAIC Design International Challenge cannot be achieved without the joint efforts of enterprises and universities. As the final closing ceremony of the competition, we have invited numerous teachers and guests from the design industry and higher design institutions across the country to gather together as usual, promoting industry exchanges and striving to establish a model for promoting industry development and talent cultivation through school enterprise cooperation in the field of automotive design in China.

活动开场，来自上届冠军母校广州美术学院的李勇老师为本届闭幕式进行致辞。他回顾了今年广美举办开幕式时同行齐聚一堂的盛况，由衷感叹本届大赛选手的模型展示效果让人印象深刻，表示十分期待看到今年各位选手的好成绩，打趣欢迎下届大赛开幕式继续在广美举办。

At the beginning of the event, Professor Li Yong from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the alma mater of the previous champion, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. He reviewed the grand occasion of his peers gathering together at the opening ceremony this year, sincerely marveling at the impressive display effect of the contestants' models. He expressed great anticipation to see the good results of all the contestants this year and jokingly welcomed the continuation of the opening ceremony of the next competition at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

在进行激动人心的颁奖典礼前，上汽集团研发总院总设计师、上汽英国技术中心总经理邵景峰先生带我们重新回顾了本届大赛。

他先给我们展示了一组数据——

上汽设计国际挑战赛自2013年成立以来，共收到来自23个国家、237所高等院校的4863位参赛选手投稿，并在各届总决赛中制作实体模型共计214个。

毫无疑问，“上汽设计国际挑战赛是目前全球范围内规模最大的校企合作大学生汽车设计比赛”。

迄今为止，已经有106名设计师通过大赛入职上汽设计中心，参与17个量产项目。

过去一年在欧洲斩获“最佳电动车”称号的MG 4车型主设计师便位列其中。

再次解读第二个十年主旋律“真实世界”，邵总表示有了新的感悟。

如何理解真实？真实世界存在“信息差”。

对于学生们有些看似不着调的“真实世界”，我们经历了“质疑、理解、成为”的整个过程。

年轻人也喜欢钓鱼？数据表明这就是“真实世界”；

被限制了上天入地，学生表示我可以去达喀尔越野拉力；

又在用意念推动技术？这表达的是对在自动驾驶技术下更丰富的移动空间生活方式的殷切期待；

买猫爬架送车？我们确实正在走向一个“爱宠时代”

……

面对这些“信息差”，我们的解决办法始终是“勇于改变，也勇于坚守”。

坚守每一个十年，真实世界的回归，道阻且长。

He first showed us a set of data——

Since its establishment in 2013, the SAIC Design International Challenge has received submissions from 4471 participants from 22 countries and 235 universities, and has produced a total of 198 physical models in various finals.

Undoubtedly, the SAIC Design International Challenge is currently the largest university car design competition based on school enterprise cooperation worldwide.

So far, 106 designers have joined SAIC Design Center through the competition and participated in 17 mass production projects.

The chief designer of the MG 4 model, which won the title of "Best Electric Vehicle" in Europe in the past year, is among them.

Interpreting the main theme of the second decade, "The Real World," Mr. Shao expressed new insights.

How to understand reality? There is an 'information gap' in the real world.

We go through the entire process of questioning, understanding, and becoming about the seemingly out of tune "real world" of students.

Do young people also enjoy fishing? The data shows that this is the 'real world';

Restricted from traveling from heaven to earth, the student said I can go to Dakar for off-road rally;

Are you using ideas to drive technology again? This expresses the earnest expectation for a more diverse mobile space lifestyle under autonomous driving technology;

Buy a cat climbing frame and get a car as a gift? We are indeed moving towards a 'pet loving era'

……

In the face of these 'information gaps', our solution has always been to' be brave to change and also brave to stick to it '.

Adhere to every decade, the return of the real world is hindered by long obstacles.

中国赛区总冠军阿米尔江·阿布力米提同学发表获奖感言，一上场便用维吾尔族语进行了独特的自我介绍。感言里，他表示对于自己在过去几个月里的成长感到十分高兴，由衷感谢上汽提供的平台和学校提供的支持，也特别感谢青训营期间各位总监、导师的指导，他对于能够在一个集体中相互学习、相互竞争的经历感到难忘。“每个同学都有一技之长，经常能够偷学一两招”‍

Amirjan Ablimiti, the overall champion of the Chinese competition area, delivered his acceptance speech and introduced himself uniquely in Uyghur language as soon as he stepped on stage. In his speech, he expressed great joy for his growth in the past few months and sincerely thanked SAIC for providing the platform and the school for their support. He also expressed special thanks to the directors and mentors for their guidance during the youth training camp. He found the experience of learning and competing with each other in a collective unforgettable.“Everyone has a unique skill and I can often steal one or two moves”

闭幕式最后，上汽集团乘用车分公司常务副总经理俞经民（互联网知名IP、冲浪达人“车圈胖头鱼”），为本届大赛闭幕进行了总结致辞。他以一贯幽默的风格打趣开头——“大赛三年没叫我了”、“这一届闭幕式，就是我重回‘上汽设计挑战赛’的开幕式！”，甫一上场，精彩发言引得现场掌声连连。接下来，他又结合品牌营销的专业领域表达了自己对于“真实世界”的理解——真实世界，其实就是真实的“心界”，上汽乘用车三个品牌（荣威、名爵、飞凡）如何通过不同的定位触达不同用户群体真正的“心界”，就是品牌针对“真实世界”要做的工作。面对大赛吸引众多优秀人才的盛况，俞总打趣“我要来抢资源”——广州车展要模型、品牌营销要人才，他准备“两手抓”。提到本届大赛作品，俞总尤其对“钓鱼车”印象深刻，现实中观察到的经验让他对该作品的设想和创意感触颇深。

At the end of the closing ceremony, Yu Jingmin, the executive vice general manager of SAIC Group's passenger car branch (a well-known Internet IP and surfer "the fat fish in the automotive circle"), gave a summary speech for the closing of the competition. He began with his usual humorous style, jokingly saying, "It's been three years since the competition invited me," and "This closing ceremony is the opening ceremony of my return to the 'SAIC Design Challenge'!" As soon as he stepped on stage, his brilliant speech drew applause from the audience. Next, he also expressed his understanding of the theme "real world" in the professional field of brand marketing - the real world is actually the real "heart world". How SAIC Motor's three passenger car brands (Roewe, MG, andRising) reach different user groups through different positioning to truly "heart world" is the work that brands need to do for the "real world". Faced with the grand scene of the competition attracting many outstanding talents, Mr. Yu joked, "I want to come and grab resources" - Guangzhou Auto Show needs models, brand marketing needs talents, and he is ready to "grab both hands". When it comes to the works of this competition, Mr. Yu is particularly impressed by the "fishing cart". The experience observed in reality has deeply touched his imagination and creativity of the work.

百年老店的坚守与展望

2024第十二届上汽设计国际挑战赛延续上一届大赛关键词“真实世界”为题，提出“面向真实世界的未来想象”这一新课题，呼吁设计关注真实需求，同时仍应具备足够的前瞻性。

The 12th SAIC Design International Challenge in 2024 continues the theme of the previous competition's keyword "Real World" and proposes a new topic of "Future Imagination for the Real World", calling on designers to pay attention to real needs while still having sufficient foresight.

不负众望，本届大赛一共收到了来自全球近90所高校的主赛道作品三百余件，分赛道作品六十余件，这些作品为我们呈现了新一代汽车设计学子眼里的千百种“真实世界”。有时候，我们带着真诚的建议，试图告诉学生们什么才是“真实世界”。但回过头看，每一年大赛，我们也在不断透过年轻学生的视角去看见另一个“真实世界”。第二个十年，对于“真实世界”的回归与探索，还有更多等待我们挖掘的空间。

As expected, this competition received over 300 main track works and more than 60 sub track works from nearly 90 universities around the world. These works presented us with thousands of "real worlds" in the eyes of the new generation of automotive design students. Sometimes, with sincere advice, we try to tell students what the 'real world' is. But looking back, every year in the competition, we are constantly seeing another 'real world' through the perspective of young students. In the second decade, there is still more space waiting for us to explore and return to the "real world".

正如邵景峰先生所说，“勇于改变，也勇于坚守”，这就是上汽设计国际挑战赛迈向百年老店的底气。

As Mr. Shao Jingfeng said, "Be brave to change and also brave to stick to it", this is the confidence of SAIC Design International Challenge towards a century old store.
