While covering the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, China Daily reporter Peng Yixuan found Chinese artifacts at Brazil’s National Historical Museum, including a stunning Guangzhou ivory boat — proof of centuries-old Sino-Brazilian trade.
Like many coastal nations, Brazil's museums feature numerous ship-related artifacts, symbols of trade and cultural exchange. Among them, a lifelike ivory boat from Guangzhou stands out, its smooth, white craftsmanship captivating all who see it.
Brazil is the first country to establish a strategic partnership with China. It is also the first nation in Latin America to enter into a comprehensive strategic partnership with China.
