EMV LEVEL2
The EMV standard, established in 1999 by Europay, Mastercard, and Visa, sets the benchmark for chip-based IC card financial payment applications. EMVCo’s terminal certification process is divided into two levels. EMV Level 1 focuses on the certification of the terminal’s Interface Module (IFM), which involves testing the hardware and lower-layer software of the interface device. EMV Level 2, on the other hand, tests and certifies the terminal’s debit/credit application kernel.E60 is a newly developed Bus Validator designed to meet current market demands by integrating multiple payment methods.
