At CanCham PRD, we always look forward to bringing our community together to celebrate Thanksgiving. It’s an annual holiday in Canada, where we take a moment to appreciate the harvest and reflect on the blessings of the past year. Canadian Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Day) is an important national holiday, primarily celebrated to give thanks for the harvest and the blessings of the past year. Similar to American Thanksgiving, it takes place on the second Monday of October, about a month earlier than in the United States, which aligns with Canada’s earlier autumn and harvest season due to its colder climate.
The history of Thanksgiving in Canada dates back to 1578 when explorer Martin Frobisher held a celebration to mark his successful crossing of the Northwest Passage. Over time, it evolved into a broader holiday celebrating the harvest and offering thanks.
Thanksgiving in Canada is a time for family and friends to gather and enjoy a traditional meal that often includes roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and cranberry sauce. The holiday also marks the start of the winter season, reminding people to reflect on and express gratitude for their families, friends, and the good things in life.

加拿大的感恩节（Thanksgiving Day）是一个重要的节日，主要用于庆祝丰收和感谢过去一年的恩典。与美国的感恩节类似，但加拿大的感恩节通常在每年10月的第二个星期一，比美国的感恩节早一个多月。这与加拿大的气候相关，因为加拿大的秋季和收获期来得更早。
