5金2銀3銅!我校學子在英國高級數學測評SMC中斬獲佳績!

ZWIS學子在英國高級數學測評

SMC比賽中斬獲金、銀、銅獎



喜訊!在2024年英國高級數學測評(UKMT-SMC)比賽中,我校共有19名同學參賽,其中,5名同學斬獲全球金獎、2名同學獲得全球銀獎,3名同學獲得銅獎,圓滿取得大豐收!

Good News! In the UKMT-SMC 2024 competition, 19 students from our school participated in the competition. Among them, 5 students won the Global Gold Award, 2 students won the Global Silver Award and 3 students won the Bronze Award, which was a great success!



獲獎名單如下,其中,G10尹焯楹同學斬獲金獎,並且以全校最高分的成績獲得學校最佳榮譽獎,G11李家行同學以年級第一的成績斬獲全球金獎及年級最佳榮譽獎!G11曾子睿、許雅晴、王慶博獲得全球金獎,G11何文道、G10王文昊獲得銀獎,G11李泓毅、G11鄧棟文、G11韓政羽獲得銅獎!

The list of winners is as follows, among them, G10 Yin Cheuk Ying won the Gold Award and Best in School with the highest score in the whole school, G11 Jiaxing Li won the Global Gold Award and the Best in Year with the first grade in his grade. G11 Tseng Zi Rui, Yaqing Xu, and Qingbo Wang won the Global Gold Award, G11 Wendao He, G10 Wen Hao Wang won the Silver Award, G11Hongyi  Li , G11 Dongwen Deng, Zhengyu Han won the Bronze Award!

此次競賽不僅考驗了同學們的數學知識與技能,更鍛煉了他們的邏輯思維與問題解決能力。在Sam老師的指導和帶領下,我校同學積極備賽,在此次競賽中的優異表現,充分展示了他們在數學領域的深厚功底與卓越才能。

The competition not only tested students' mathematical knowledge and skills, but also honed their logical thinking and problem solving abilities. Under the guidance and leadership of Mr Sam Zhang, our students actively prepared for the competition and their outstanding performance in the competition fully demonstrated their deep knowledge and excellent talent in the field of mathematics.

Multi-dimensional Competitions for Student Development

參加不同領域的競賽活動不僅能鍛煉學生的能力,還能豐富的學生的個人履歷,而獲獎履歷更是進入名校的敲門磚。ZWIS一直鼓勵學生積極參與各類競賽,包含學科競賽、語言競賽、科創競賽、藝術競賽等,並為學生提供競賽規劃和咨詢等服務。我們鼓勵學生全面發展,勇敢去挖掘自己的潛力,不斷挑戰和突破自己,追尋自己的夢想和熱愛。

Participating in competitions in different fields not only helps students to develop their abilities, but also enriches their CVs, and winning awards is a good way to gain entry to prestigious schools. ZWIS has always been encouraging students to participate in various kinds of competitions, including academic competitions, language competitions, science and innovation competitions, art competitions, etc., and providing competition planning and counselling services to students. We encourage students to develop themselves in a holistic manner, to explore their potentials, to challenge and break through, and to pursue their dreams and passions.

ABOUT UKMT-SMC


英國數學基金會(United Kingdom Mathematics Trust, UKMT)成立於1996年,作爲英國最大數學組織,UKMT每年爲超過70萬名學子提供各種各樣的國家級別數學活動,係英國數學奧林匹克系列競賽之一。UKMT的宗旨是提高青少年的數學教育水平,讓他們愛上數學,積極運用數學解決問題。

Established in 1996, the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) is the UK's largest mathematical organisation, providing over 700,000 students each year with a wide range of nationally-accredited mathematical activities as part of the UK Mathematical Olympiad series, with the aim of raising the standards of young people's mathematical education and getting them to love and use mathematics to solve problems. The UKMT aims to improve young people's mathematical education so that they love mathematics and use it to solve problems.


UKMT擁有非常完善的數學測評體系,按照年級和數學能力分爲初級JMC、中級IMC、高級 SMC。其中英國數學測評(高級)/SMC面向12年級(高三年級)及以下的學生,注重培養學生邏輯思維,精確且流暢地使用數學技術來解決問題的能力,題目極具挑戰性和靈活性,通常涵蓋幾何、數論、排列組合等重點高中數學知識點,也搭配少量的代數和應用題目,以及其他一些更具挑戰性的題目,對學生的數學素養提出了極高的要求。

UKMT has a well-established mathematics assessment system, which is categorised according to grade and mathematical ability into Junior JMC, Intermediate IMC, and Senior SMC, of which the UKMT (Senior)/SMC is for students in Grade 12 (Senior 3) and below, and focuses on the development of students' ability to think logically and to use mathematical techniques accurately and fluently in solving problems. The questions are challenging and flexible, usually covering key senior secondary mathematical points such as geometry, number theory, permutations and combinations, with a small number of algebra and application questions, as well as other more challenging questions, which place high demands on students' mathematical literacy.
