Emily Yan, Studio Director Hong Kong at Snøhetta, is invited to give a lecture titled Places for People at Yonsei University in Seoul. The sharing will explore the vital connection between architecture, public space, and community well-being. With a focus on human-centered design, Emily will delve into how a transdisciplinary approach leads to innovative design; creating environments that foster social interaction, inclusivity, and connection to nature. The lecture will start at 7pm on November 14. It is free and open to the public.

Emily于2018年加入Snøhetta，见证和推动了事务所在亚洲的成立。自此，Emily负责Snøhetta在亚洲地区的足迹拓展及设计实践。Emily曾在不同的文化语境中工作，负责并设计了许多不同规模的公共建筑和文化机构项目。Emily在Snøhetta的部分实践项目包括：三亚度假型商业开发项目（三亚）、首尔盘浦生态乐园（首尔）、清州新市政厅（清州）、AIRSIDE启德（香港）和Whey餐厅（香港）等等。

Having played a crucial role in starting up Snøhetta in Asia after joining in 2018, Emily has been focusing on growing the firm's footprint in the Asia region. Emily has worked internationally, design-leading and managing the development of numerous public, institutional, and private building projects of varying scales. Her selected projects at Snøhetta include Sanya Resort Retail Development (Sanya), Banpo Ecological Playscape (Seoul), Cheongju New City Hall (Cheongju), AIRSIDE (Hong Kong), Whey (Hong Kong) and among others.

除了设计实践以外，Emily还积极参与建筑和设计教育。她曾在不同的教育机构和设计节上发表演讲，例如：韩国仁济大学、2023年首尔城市建筑双年展，以及2023年设计深圳等等。2022年，Emily受邀担任香港大学的客座评论。
Besides her design practice, Emily is also actively involved in architecture and design education. She has lectured at various educational institutions and design festivals, such as Inje University, Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2023, Design Shenzhen 2023 and so on. She was Guest Critic at the University of Hong Kong in 2022.
