谢柯盼

Ke-Pan Xie graduated with a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University in 2013 and obtained a Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2018. After that, he conducted postdoctoral research at Seoul National University in South Korea and the University of Nebraska- Lincoln in the United States. In 2022, he joined Beihang University as an associate professor. His research topics include phase transitions in the early universe, the generation of matter-antimatter asymmetry, the origins of dark matter, and the formation of primordial black holes, as well as multi-messenger astronomy (such as gravitational waves) and collider signals.



报告摘要


This talk will discuss the interplay between dark matter and first-order phase transitions (FOPTs) in the early Universe. A FOPT is a tunneling process through two vacua in the Universe, occurring through the nucleation and expansion ofvacuum bubbles, often vividly described as the "boiling" of the Universe. Under the influence of FOPTs, even the simplest WIMP models may deviate from the conventional freeze-out process, leading to significant changes in their parameter space. Moreover, FOPTs can also form macroscopic dark matter, such as solitons or primordial black holes. This talk will explore various potential dark matter models related to FOPTs and their phenomenology.
