Developing the MYP 教師工作坊
國際文憑組織(IB)鼓勵世界各地的學生成長為既積極進取又富有同情心的終身學習者。作為學習社區中的一員,在這一崇高使命宣言的引領下,廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校的MYP(中學項目)教師隊伍積極回應,身體力行地踐行這一教育理念。
2024年10月19日至20日,由IB Workshop Leader韓秀明校長精心策劃的Developing the MYP: 2-day option Introductory工作坊順利舉行,20餘名ZWIS MYP教師熱情參與,全程英語交流,深化專業培訓。在此期間,教師們既是求知若渴的學員,亦是傳道授業的導師,共同在探究、行動、反思中度過了一段充實而愉悅的時光。
The International Baccalaureate (IB) encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners. Guided by this mission statement, the MYP (Middle Years Programme) teaching staff at ZWIS have actively responded and embodied this educational philosophy as members of the learning community.
From October 19th to 20th, 2024, Developing the MYP: 2-day option Introductory workshop meticulously planned by Principal Jolin Han, the IB Workshop Leader, was successfully held. Over 20 ZWIS MYP teachers enthusiastically participated in the workshop, engaging in deep professional training through English communication throughout. During this time, the teachers were both eager learners and instructors, jointly spending a fulfilling and enjoyable period of inquiry, action, and reflection.

作為工作坊中的“學員”,ZWIS 的MYP教師們在培訓官韓校的悉心指導下,圍繞IBMYP(國際文憑組織中學項目)的核心價值、實施策略、課程設計及行動方案等方面進行了深入研討。通過小組討論、獨立研究及觀點分享等形式,教師們充分展現了“勤於思考”、“善於交流”、“積極探究”“勇於嘗試”等優秀學習者培養目標特質。
這些特質同樣被鼓勵應用於MYP的日常教學中,讓學生在多樣化的學習任務與活動中,通過團隊協作、角色擔當及思維碰撞,不斷挑戰自我,深化理解,掌握知識。
As "learners" in the workshop, the ZWIS MYP teachers, under the meticulous guidance of Principal Han, conducted in-depth discussions on the core values, implementation strategies, curriculum design, and action plans of the IBMYP. Through group discussions, independent research, and viewpoint sharing, the teachers fully demonstrated the attributes of excellent learner profile "thinkers," "communicators," "inquirers," and "risk-takers." These attributes were also encouraged to be applied in the daily teaching of the MYP, allowing students to continuously challenge themselves, deepen their understanding, and master knowledge through teamwork, role-playing, and thinking collisions in diversified learning tasks and activities.

作為“教師”角色,ZWIS的MYP教師們則將IBMYP的理論精髓與ZWIS的教學實踐緊密結合,致力於探索更適合本校學生的教學方法(Approach to teaching)與學習方法(Approach to learning)。
他們共同探討如何整合學生成長各相關方(學校主管機構、學生家長、學生本人、學校領導團隊、學校教職員工)的力量,利用ZWIS MYP的各項政策(如語言、評估、全納及學術誠信政策)塑造文化,以及通過深化概念理解、全球視野拓展、服務行動設計與總結性評估等手段,增強學生的國際視野。通過“做中學”與“學中做”,教師們不僅更新了對MYP的理解,也促進了個人職業成長。
In their roles as "teachers," the ZWIS MYP teachers integrated the theoretical essence of the IBMYP with ZWIS's teaching practices, dedicated to exploring teaching and learning methods more suitable for their students. They jointly discussed how to integrate the forces of all parties related to student growth (school governing body, parents, students, school leadership teams, and staff), utilize ZWIS MYP policies (such as language, assessment, inclusion, and academic honesty policies) to shape culture, and enhance students' international mindedness through deepening conceptual understanding, expanding global horizons, designing service actions, and conducting summative assessments. Through "learning by doing" and "doing by learning," the teachers not only updated their understanding of the MYP but also promoted their personal professional development.

老師們的部分討論成果
反思作為促進學習者為中心教育的關鍵策略,在此次工作坊中得到了高度重視。韓校通過啟發式提問與經驗分享,引導教師們進行深入反思,而教師們則通過相互交流、筆記記錄等方式,積極開展個人教學反思。
同樣,在ZWIS的MYP課程中,學校也提供了成長檔案、反思日誌、團隊專案活動等多種工具,鼓勵學生自我審視學習進程與行為表現。
Reflection, as a key strategy to promote learner-centered education, received significant attention in this workshop. Principal Han guided teachers to conduct in-depth reflection through heuristic questioning and experience sharing, while teachers actively engaged in personal teaching reflection through mutual exchanges and note-taking. Similarly, in the ZWIS MYP curriculum, the school provides various tools such as portfolios, reflection logs, and team project activities to encourage students to reflect their learning progress and behavior.

為期兩天的工作坊,教師們懷揣目標而來,滿載收穫而歸,即便是在週末,學習的熱情依舊不減。對於所有學習者而言,學習的樂趣在於追求真知灼見,享受探討與交流的過程,更在於持續成長與自我超越的旅程。
在ZWIS的大家庭裏,我們一起在這裏綻放自己的光彩,共同創造美好的未來。豐盈自我,豐富世界!
The two-day workshop saw teachers arrive with goals and return with abundant harvests, with their enthusiasm for learning unwavering even on weekends. For all learners, the joy of learning lies in the pursuit of true insights, the enjoyment of discussion and exchange processes, and the journey of continuous growth and self-transcendence.
