美中贸易全国委员会成功举办第七届虹桥国际经济论坛美资企业闭门会

11月6日，美中贸易全国委员会成功于第七届进博会期间举办虹桥国际经济论坛美资企业闭门会。会议以“对话持续繁荣：美资企业在华发展新愿景”为主题，邀请政企代表探讨中国市场增长的路径和策略。

中国商务部和上海市委市政府领导出席本次闭门会，同委员会会员企业代表展开交流。与会企业嘉宾分享企业在华发展情况，特别围绕如何在中国市场实现持续业务增长进行分享，并对政府如何支持企业实现在华发展、优化营商环境建言献策。

美中贸易全国委员会会长克雷格·艾伦致欢迎辞。过去七年，委员会积极参加进博会，美资企业参展数量位列国家和地区首位。委员会将持续支持会员企业参与进博，致力支持中美经贸交往，稳定双边互惠基石。

上海市委常委、副市长华源在致辞中表示，上海和美国经贸关系密切。上海将继续深化高水平的改革开放，为外资企业在上海的发展创造更好的条件，提供更好的保障。

美中贸易全国委员会副会长许子兰主持企业分享环节。7位来自不同行业的会员企业高管分享公司在华发展历程及战略规划，围绕开放市场、技术创新、本土化升级等议题展开交流。

商务部部长助理唐文弘表示，互利共赢的中美经贸关系不仅符合两国和两国人民的利益，也为世界经济发展提供动力。中国共产党二十届三中全会提出的重点改革措施正在有序推进落实，将为美资企业更好参与中国高质量发展提供广阔空间。希望美资企业继续利用好进博会平台，为中国消费者提供更好的产品和服务。

在中国国际进口博览局、虹桥国际经济论坛秘书处、上海市商务委员会支持下，委员会连续三年在虹桥国际经济论坛成功举办美资企业专场活动。本次闭门会吸引来自逾50家美资企业近百位高管参与。委员会将持续努力，为美资企业搭建更多交流互动平台。

On November 6, the US-China Business Council (USCBC) successfully hosted a closed-door roundtable for US businesses at the 7th Hongqiao International Economic Forum, held during the China International Import Expo (CIIE). Government and business representatives convened to discuss growth strategies in the Chinese market under the theme Toward Sustainable Prosperity: New Outlook for US Businesses in China.

Senior leaders from the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the Shanghai Municipal Government joined a broad representation of USCBC member companies, who shared insights on sustainable growth strategies in China. Business representatives also provided suggestions for how the government could better support foreign enterprises and enhance the business environment.

USCBC President Craig Allen delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting USCBC’s active participation in the CIIE over the past seven years, with US companies leading in exhibitor numbers among all countries and regions. He stressed USCBC’s commitment to supporting member companies’ participation in the CIIE and fostering US-China trade relations for mutual benefits.

Hua Yuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, highlighted the strong economic ties between Shanghai and the US. Hua reaffirmed Shanghai’s commitment to advancing high-level reform and creating an ideal environment to support foreign businesses.

Melinda Xu, USCBC Vice President, moderated the sharing session. Seven executives from USCBC member companies across various sectors discussed their companies’ achievements and strategic planning in China. Key themes included market access, technological innovation, and enhanced localization.  

Assistant Minister of Commerce Tang Wenhong stated that a mutually beneficial US-China trade relationship serves both nations’ interests and supports global economic growth. The key reforms outlined in the Third Plenum are being steadily implemented, creating ample opportunities for US companies to better participate in China’s quality development. He hopes US business will continue to leverage CIIE to offer better products and services to Chinese consumers.

Supported by the China International Import Expo Bureau, the Hongqiao International Economic Forum Secretariat, and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, USCBC has hosted American business-specific roundtables at the Hongqiao International Economic Forum for three consecutive years. This year’s closed-door roundtable attracted nearly 100 executives from over 50 US companies. USCBC remains committed to organizing engagement platforms for American companies.
