Between November 4th and 6th, the CEO of the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) visited China to strengthen bilateral ties and promote Belgian exports. He took advantage of being in Shanghai to visit the border control post at the Shanghai Yangshan Port, the largest port in China, through which numerous Belgian food products are imported. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to engage with Chinese counterparts on control procedures and ensure the smooth flow of import operations.
此次上海之行还包括参加中国国际进口博览会（CIIE）, 联邦食品链安全局首席执行官与大使安博宁和总领事布凡一起会见了展示其产品的比利时企业，突显了比利时在中国市场上的活力和吸引力。
The visit to Shanghai also included participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where the CEO, along with Ambassador Bruno Angelet and Consul General Pascal Buffin, met with Belgian companies showcasing their products, highlighting Belgium's dynamism and appeal in the Chinese market.

此次访问以在北京与中国海关总署达成协议圆满结束，该协议将允许比利时向中国扩大出口包括猪蹄在内的产品。这项协议为比利时未来的出口迈出了切实的一步。
The visit concluded with the agreement reached with the General Administration of Customs in Beijing, allowing for the expansion of exports of products such as pork feet from Belgium to China. This agreement represents a concrete step forward for the future of Belgian exports.
联邦食品链安全局首席执行官Herman Diricks表示：“加强联邦食品链安全局与中国当局之间的合作，对于确保安全、高效的农产品贸易至关重要。联邦食品链安全局不仅致力于保护消费者，还支持比利时企业及其向全球关键市场的出口。” 比利时联邦农业部长David Clarinval指出：“这一协议让我们的国家能够向中国出口更多的猪肉产品，对我们的养猪户来说是个好消息。”
