【报告摘要】
The number of publication slots in top-tier journals is limited each year, and the growing number of tourism researchers and the increasing requirements for academic promotions make publishing in top-tier journals increasingly challenging. Drawing on his more than twenty years of experience as a scholar, professor, journal reviewer, and associate/editor-in-chief of several journals, the speaker will share his insights on achieving success in academic publishing. The presentation will cover the following topics: a brief review of his academic career, an overview and analysis of tourism academic journals, data analysis on paper submissions and acceptance rates, interpretation of the latest trends in top-tier journal publications, and advice for publication in the International Journal of Tourism Research.
【报告人简介】
Professor Timothy Lee (李鼎烈) is the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST). He has previously held positions at various international universities, including the University of Surrey, the University of Queensland, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, the University of the Sunshine Coast, and Distinguished Professor at Kyung Hee University in Korea. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Tourism Research (IJTR), as well as a Regional Editor for Leisure Studies and an Associate Editor for the Journal of Leisure Research. Professor Lee’s research interests include tourism marketing, health/wellness tourism, cultural heritage tourism, food tourism, festivals and events, and cross-cultural issues. He has published over 130 SSCI articles and is ranked among the top fifty most prolific scholars in the field of tourism studies worldwide (out of 20,000 researchers).
