China is to introduce a visa-free entry trial for ordinary passport holders from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan.
From Nov 30, 2024, to Dec 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from the nine countries will be able to enter China without a visa — for business, tourism, family visits, exchange visits, or transit — provided their stay does not exceed 30 days.
