佛山霍利斯校长
亲爱的家长们，
今天举办的佛山霍利斯2024年校庆庆典顺利结束！我们荣幸地接待了来自伦敦的 Mrs Hanbury 等尊贵的来宾们，以及众多学生家庭，他们亲临现场，感受学校生活的快乐。回想大约两年前，在 COBIS 对我们学校的认证过程中，一个明显的观察结果是我们学校洋溢着快乐的气氛。校庆日正是这种氛围的完美体现，创造积极的记忆和培养归属感对于建立一个充满活力的学校社区是非常重要的。
校庆庆典日是一个绝佳的展示平台，学校的8C价值观—沟通力、主动性、好奇心、协作力、工匠精神、同理心、自信心和创造力完美的融合其中。本次校庆日充分展现了我们学生、教职工以及佛山霍利斯的风采。感谢大家共同创造了这样一个难忘的时刻，我已经开始期待着明年的庆祝活动了！

艺术及设计部门主任 Ms Hayward
与艺术家同行
「艺道同行」画展活动
霍利斯画廊目前的中国山水画展览受到了学生、访客和学校教职员工的欢迎，很多人都在研究和探讨展出的作品。本周我们举办了「与艺术家同行」活动， 邀请黄汝祥大师和他的学生们与佛山霍利斯艺术与设计和技术的学生们分享了他们在中国传统绘画中的知识和技巧。学生们学习了色彩的使用、对比、平衡、内容及其含义。我们很高兴看到学生们勇于提问，并自信地参与讨论。通过本次活动，增强了学生的洞察力和意识，有助于他们在 IGCSE 和 A Level 的学习中更好地理解和应用知识。

Dear Parents,
What a wonderful Founder’s Day celebration we had this year! It was a pleasure to welcome our esteemed visitors, including Mrs Hanbury from London, along with so many of our families, who came to experience the joy and excitement of school life firsthand. Nearly two years ago, when COBIS accredited our school, one of the standout observations was the pervasive sense of joy in our school environment. Founder’s Day is a perfect reflection of this spirit, reminding us that creating positive memories and a sense of belonging is fundamental to a thriving school community.
Founder’s Day also provided a fantastic showcase for our 8Cs—communication, commitment, curiosity, collaboration, craftsmanship, compassion, confidence, and creativity—evident in every activity and performance. This celebration was a true credit to our students, staff, and the entire LEH community. Thank you all for making it a memorable day, and I eagerly look forward to next year’s event!

Artist Walk and Talk Event

This week Art and Design & Technology students, visitors and staff enjoyed listening to and discussing artworks in our current exhibition. Master Huang and his students generously shared their inspirations, knowledge and techniques used in Chinese traditional painting. Students learned about the use of colours, contrast, balance, content, and their meanings. It was great to witness students ask intelligent questions and be able to confidently engage in discussion. This experience has enriched their insight and awareness and supported the development their analytic skills and knowledge for their IGCSE and A Level examinations.
