Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dong Wei as the General Manager of the JW Marriott Hotel Taiyuan. In his new role, Mr. Dong will be responsible for the overall strategic development and operational management of the hotel, with the goal of preserving the brand’s distinctive style while creating extraordinary experiences for guests.
With 30 years of experience in hotel operations and management, Mr. Dong has accumulated extensive industry expertise and management insight. He has previously held significant positions, including General Manager of Sheraton Zhenjiang Hotel, General Manager of Sheraton Qingdao West Coast, General Manager of Sheraton Changzhou Xinbei Hotel and Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast. Mr. Liu has over 25 years of experience in hotel operations and management, successively working as Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Sales and Marketing, Vice General Manager, Owner Representative and General Manager in various international hotels such as Shanghai Hengshan Group, InterContinental Group and Hyatt Group. with his extensive experience in hotel management and excellent leadership,he has been appointed as a professor by several hospitality management colleges, applying a combination of hospitality practice and theory in his teaching and guidance.
