On September 20, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia Mr Zhang Jun met with Chairman Ban Ki-moon and briefed him on the preparation work of the BFA 2025 Annual Conference.
Zhang stated that under the guidance of Chairman Ban, preparations for 2025 Annual Conference is well underway. Over the past months, the Forum hosted an array of roundtables, seminars and workshops, listened extensively from Ini-tial Countries, Board of Directors, Co-uncil of Advisors, partners and members, think tanks as well as other stakeholders, and incorporated their thoughts into the conference's overall agenda. Secretary General Zhang stressed that BFA will introduce more diverse and innovative ways to the meeting formats, and will try to organize high quality events. The Secretary-General stressed that BFA will highlight its academic features while enhancing dialogues with political and industrial leaders. Besides, BFA will take practical measures to expand the Fo-rum's influence.
Chairman Ban noted that the develop-ment of Asia and the world are inter-twined. He hoped that the upcoming Annual Conference could take this op-portunity to offer valuable proposals through promoting international con-sensus, enhancing mutual trust and deepening cooperation within Asia on global challenges. Chairman Ban en-couraged the Forum to facilitate the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Develop-ment, while steering global governance to a just and right direction, and leading the global community towards a better future.
