IRDR 2024 International Conference Volunteer Recruitment
Background Information:The Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) is an international scientific programme cosponsored by the International Science Council (ISC) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), and supported by China Association of Science and Technology (CAST). IRDR aims to usher in an inclusive, safe and sustainable world by promoting a better understanding of disaster risk and the effective use of risk science in decision-making.
The IRDR 2024 International Conference will be a gathering of IRDR global community to share their knowledge and insights regarding the action plan of 2025-2027 and the development of the risk science based on the research framework, entitled “A Framework for Global Science in Support of Risk-informed Sustainable Development and Planetary Health”.
Volunteers Descriptions:Location:
No. 9 Dengzhuangnan Rd., Haidian District, Beijing
Duration: 8 a.m.-6 p.m., 20-24 October (onsite)
Interviewand Announcement: 17 October 2024
Operation Volunteers (2 persons)
Communication Volunteers (6-8 persons)
Requirements:
Language: English is the working language.
Education: High school students, undergraduate students, graduate students or above. Major in communications, (science) journalism, public/business administration, international relations, or other fields related to disaster risk reduction will be an advantage.
Skills: Experienced in providing venue guidance, addressing inquiries, managing presentation collection and playback, coordinating online meeting rooms, and performing photography duties.
Expectations:
Volunteers are expected to have a good sense of professionalism and responsibility for the task assigned, and be teamwork oriented under a multi-cultural international working environment.
