I'd say one of the things I commonly see is exhibitors on their cellphones looking at board, and not present and I think that's one of the biggest mistakes, you should be trying to engage the attendees as they walk by, and start the conversation.
Talking to each other with their backs turned and not facing with people walking by. You paid so much for the booth, they're sitting here, they're talking.
I dislike when the salespeople at the booth are too aggressive. It feels overwhelming and makes me want to leave immediately.
When booth staff only push their standard pitch without considering my specific needs or industry challenges, it feels impersonal.
Breaking down early. Our show closes at 18:00, not 15:00.
It's frustrating when I ask detailed questions and the staff can't provide answers or seem uninformed about their products.
I prefer booths that offer something of value, like insights or useful information, rather than just promotional material.
Somebody picking thier nose.
Chewing gum while you are talking.
Poaching from other people's booth, so when you see people engage in conversation and I'm kind of walking away at that conversation.
