During the Warring States period, the troops of Qi attacked nearby country. After the victory, the troops began to return their home. But they lost their way in the mountains. Because they set off in spring, with green hills and water, but now it was winter. No one could find the right direction, all of them lost their way.
One of them said: “Old horses are wise animals who know their way. Let them lead the way for us!”
Thereupon, they let several old horses lead ahead and the army followed behind. In the end they found their way home.
故事梗概：
管仲和大夫隰朋随齐桓公一同前往攻打孤竹， 齐军是春天出征的，到凯旋时已是冬天，最后迷了路。管仲说：“老马的智慧是可以利用的。”于是放开老马，人跟随着它们，终于找到了回去的路。
