Trevor Lewis has been Deputy Director for Innovation and Industry at the UK Department for International Trade, based at the British Consulate-General Guangzhou since October 2022. This is a China wide role. Immediately prior to this, Trevor was Counsellor and Director for Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Moscow from March 2019 to July 2022. Before Moscow he was Political Counsellor at the British Embassy in Baghdad. He was also Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy, Manila, from August 2011 - July 2015 and Director for Trade and Investment at the British High Commission, Kuala Lumpur from 2007 - 2011. Trevor has also served in London, Shanghai, Dubai, Washington DC, Accra and Brussels.

陆岩先生自 2022 年 10 月起开始担任英国国际贸易部创新与工业部副司长（中国区），常驻于英国驻广州总领事馆。在此之前，陆岩先生曾于 2019 年 3 月至 2022 年 7 月间担任英国驻莫斯科大使馆参赞兼贸易与投资主任。在莫斯科任职之前，他曾担任英国驻巴格达大使馆政务参赞。陆岩先生还曾于 2011 年 8 月至 2015 年 7 月于英国驻马尼拉大使馆担任英国代表团团长，并于 2007-2011 年担任英国驻吉隆坡高级专员公署贸易与投资主任。陆岩先生还曾在伦敦、上海、迪拜、华盛顿特区、阿克拉和布鲁塞尔任职。

In 1990, Jeremy graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Chinese. Jeremy returned to Guangzhou in 1998 as a newly qualified lawyer to assist a major London-based international law firm open its first Chinese Mainland office. Jeremy was instrumental in building up the firm's China practice, assisting clients from across the world with many of the legal aspects of establishing and operating business in China.

In 2009, Jeremy opened his first gastro bar concept, The Happy Monk, near the Garden Hotel in Guangzhou. The Happy Monk has since grown to six locations across Guangzhou and one new locations in Haikou and Shenzhen.

In 2017, Dr. Zhao co-initiated the "BDDWATCH" concept, championing comprehensive design innovation throughout the industry. Works from him and his team have been recognized with over 100 awards both domestically and internationally, including 19 iF Design Awards and 10 Red Dot Awards from Germany. The Dragon Design Foundation nominated him for the Top Ten Outstanding Youth in China's Design Industry, and he was honoured with the Design Leaders Award of the Greater Bay Area during the Zhuhai Design Week.

In his forthcoming speech, Dr. Zhao will take us through the global journey towards innovative breakthroughs in the manufacturing sector.
