SGFIN Annual Research Conference on Sustainability

“The Costs and Opportunities of Commitment to Net-Zero”

 

21 – 22 March 2024, Singapore

INTRODUCTION

The Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN) is a research institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS). With the support of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), SGFIN aims to develop deep research capabilities in sustainable and green finance with the focal point on Asia.

SGFIN is organizing its second annual research conference on sustainability on 21-22 March 2024. SGFIN is inviting paper submissions from ALL disciplines on research topics related to sustainability and climate change.

CONFERENCE THEMES

This year’s conference will build around the grand theme of ‘Costs and Opportunities of Commitment to Net-Zero.’ The following list of potential themes for submission is not exhaustive, and submissions are very welcome on topics in sustainability not listed here:

  • Sustainability and the intersecting roles of finance, technological innovations, policies and regulations
  • Climate finance and risk management
  • Transition frameworks and pathways for decarbonization and clean (and low-carbon) energy solutions
  • Carbon trading and nature-based climate solutions
  • Green supply chains, responsible consumerism, and carbon border adjustment mechanism
  • Sustainable usage of resources, including pollution management

BEST PAPER AWARD

If your paper is accepted for presentation at the conference, your paper is eligible to compete for a Fidelity Best Paper Award of SG$3,000 (around US$ 2,000).
