十日綻放！中黃港澳子弟學校銜接營Highlights回顧

Time flies, ZWIS 10-days pathway camp has come to an end. Over the past 10 days, we learnt, exercised, drew, sang, performed and went out to study together. ...... From the classroom to the playground, from the playground to the dormitory, every corner of the campus has witnessed our moments together; 10 days is not only the end of a journey, but also the beginning of a new chapter of countless dreams and friendships! Let's review the wonderful moments of these 10 days and feel the joy and harvest of growth!

Over the past 10 days, experiential lessons in various subjects have been an important part of the students' journey into the new school and adapting to the new curriculum. From languages, mathematics, English, economics, travelling, to fun exploratory experiments in physics and chemistry, etc., each of these lessons has been laying a solid foundation for the future path of learning, as well as knocking on the door of the fresh curriculum to redefine the learning of the subjects.

The world is a classroom, whether it is the appreciation of Whampoa Military Academy Revolutionary history drama, the study of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, or the Shennong Cao Tang of Chinese herbal medicine exploration trip, each outbound study is a spiritual baptism, so that the children learn in practice, in the experience of growth.

Inside and outside the campus, sweat and laughter weave into the melody of youth. Sailing, equestrian, Frisbee, water polo and other ...... diverse sports not only train the children's physical quality, but also cultivate their teamwork spirit.

In the hall of art, the children paint the future with colours and weave their dreams with notes. From chorus, drama, art to dance, every note, every colour, every movement leaps with the children's pursuit of beauty and understanding. The art programme not only inspired the children's creativity, but also taught them to feel the beauty of the world with their hearts and souls.

At the closing ceremony, Ms Teresa Yang, Vice Principal of ZWIS, expressed her delight in seeing the transformation and growth that each student experienced during the 10-day journey, and thanked the parents for their trust and support, ‘In ZWIS, you have not only gained knowledge, but also gained growth. I am extremely proud of you! Dear all, the end of the camp is not the end, but the beginning of a new journey. May you take everything you have gained in the articulation camp and continue to move forward on the road ahead, constantly pursuing higher goals, meeting more challenges, and gaining more growth.’

Teacher Zhang Xiaoming, the camp director, looked back on the ten days with great affection and spoke highly of the children's progress and growth, ‘Congratulations to each and every one of you! You have completed all the tasks of our bridging camp with dedication, enthusiasm and sincerity. As the new term is about to begin, I believe that after the training and growth of this camp, the students will meet the challenges of the new term at a more determined pace. I also hope that the students will bring the teamwork, the spirit of exploration and the self-confidence that they have learnt from the camp into their studies and lives in the new term.’

Miss Lin Ke who represented homeroom teachers reviewed the journey of the past 10 days. She said that no matter whether it is happy, aggrieved, sad, angry or plain, all emotions are neither good nor bad, and that we can draw strength from them and gain valuable experience, ‘Although these 10 days are long, I believe that we have gained friendships, experiences, and memories enriched by all kinds of emotions. I would like to thank each and every one of you for sticking with us, and for bringing so many different emotions to us and for the bonds that we have formed. I hope we can all be people who embrace our emotions and are grateful for who we are.’

Lastly, four student representatives from the Junior High School and Senior High School sections shared their reflections.

Zeng Yunzhe, from MYP1 class, reminisced about his growth through challenges over the past ten days, filled with surprises and harvests. "Over the past ten days, I have become more independent. Through repeated trials and tribulations, I gradually learned to think independently and no longer rely on others for everything. I am deeply grateful for the company of my teachers and classmates, as well as everyone's support and companionship along the way."

Luo Mengrui, from MYP2 class, especially mentioned the study trip to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, which deeply touched him with the prosperity of his motherland. The bridge encompassed various disciplines such as mechanics, marine ecology, and economics, from which he gained much. "Here, I am no longer a passive learner but an active explorer, constantly developing my potential and broadening my horizons. In the new semester, I will uphold the teachings of studying for the rise of China and continue to strive!"

Wu Yunha, from Senior High School Class 1, was most impressed by the teamwork spirit displayed by everyone during the camp. "Whether it was teamwork and collaboration in the AI camp, group discussions in class, joint efforts in playing frisbee, or mutual understanding during band rehearsals, I deeply understood the truth that 'a man travels faster alone, but a group travels farther together.' I am very grateful for everyone's tolerance and understanding!"

Jin Weixiao, from Senior High School Class 2, expressed that he had gained a lot, "especially in the courses where the teachers led us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of various subjects, which greatly helped me in choosing my future subjects." He also expressed his gratitude to the teachers for their meticulous care and wished everyone to excel in the new semester, living up to their expectations.

The IB Top 10 Learning Stars were also singled out on this glorious occasion, recognising their outstanding performance during their time at the camp. They are recognised for their outstanding achievements and relentless pursuit of knowledge. Congratulations to the children!

At the end of the ceremony, the stage was brightly lit, and the children gave a wonderful performance to draw a perfect ending for this articulation camp. Instrumental performances, singing, choral singing, etc. ...... Each of the programmes was the result of the children's hard work and sweat, and demonstrated their versatility and youthful vitality. The audience applauded, applauded for the children's wonderful performance, but also for this period of beautiful time to leave eternal memories.

The 10-day Pathway Camp is a valuable experience for the children on their way to growth. Here they gained knowledge, friendship and happiness; here they learnt independence, co-operation and perseverance. We hope that in the new term, the children will continue to shine and achieve great things on the road to their dreams!
