On October 9th, Secretary-General Zhang Jun held a meeting with senior executives from several multinational member companies, including Ericsson (China) Communications, John Swire & Sons China, ORIX China and Xcoal.
Looking back on the past 20-odd years since its inauguration, Zhang Jun briefed that the Boao Forum has been focusing on Asia while engaging with the global community. Meanwhile, it has been dedicating to promoting cooperation and shared development between Asia and the world. Standing at a new starting point, the Forum will prioritize the creation of high-level events and the enhancement of its intrinsic momentum. It aspires to serve as a platform and connector that guides direction, fosters cooperation, facilitates dialogue and builds trust with the aim not only to create favorable environment and expand growth opportunities for the business community but also to inject vitality and contribute to the win-win development of all nations.
Attending corporate representatives commended the significant role the Forum has been playing. They introduced their development strategies in China and expressed the intention to continue their involvement in Boao activities so as to share business opportunities and pursue growth.
