对胡锦涛，小布什在书中是这么评价的：

而胡锦涛告诉小布什说，对他而言是如何每年新增2500万个就业岗位，以适应人口的增长。
就此，小布什评价说：
这表明他是一位务实的领导，专心解决国内事务。
