中國香港精英運動員發展計劃啓動儀式
及授牌儀式落地廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校
9月14日下午，廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校與中國香港現代五項總會及廣東現代五項協會聯合舉辦了“中國香港精英運動員發展計劃”啓動儀式，並正式爲學校授牌，標誌着首個“中國香港現代五項總會廣東訓練基地（中黃）”及“港籍運動員大灣區聯絡點(中黃站)”正式落戶廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校。
本次合作不僅是對穗港兩地體育人才培養模式的創新探索，更是對大灣區教育融合深度與廣度的又一次拓展。
On 14th September, Guangzhou Zhongshan Whampoa School for Hong Kong and Macao Students(ZWIS), the Modern Pentathlon Association of Hong Kong,China and the Guangdong Modern Pentathlon Association jointly held the ‘China Hong Kong Elite Athletes Development Programme’ launching ceremony and officially awarded the school a plaque, marking the first ‘China Hong Kong Modern Pentathlon Association Guangdong Training Base (Zhongshan Whampoa)’ and ‘Hong Kong Sports Greater Bay Area Contact Point (Zhongshan Whampoa station)’ officially settled in ZWIS. This co-operation is not only an innovative exploration of the mode of training sports talents in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, but also another expansion of the depth and breadth of education integration in the Greater Bay Area.

中國香港現代五項總會廣東訓練基地（廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校）授牌。
據瞭解，中國香港奧委會——中國香港現代五項總會與廣東現代五項協會攜手，針對港籍學生進行培訓基地共建，首個培訓基地選在廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校，旨在爲所有大灣區求學的港籍子弟提供專業的訓練平臺，學校現代五項培養計劃將針對擊劍、游泳、馬術、射擊和跑步五個項目進行專業的訓練，帶領學生參加廣東省內賽事、國內賽事乃至國際賽事。學生通過科學系統的訓練，能夠得到香港奧委會的認可，並有機會註冊成爲香港運動員，最終朝着成爲香港的精英運動員發展。
此外，成就卓越的學生亦有機會通過大學教育資助委員會（教資會）推出的“學生運動員學習支持及入學計劃”，特招進入包含香港大學、香港中文大學等在內的香港八大高校。這一合作不僅爲香港及大灣區的青少年運動員提供了高水平的訓練平臺，也促進了粵港澳體育文化的交流與融合。
It is said that the Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, Modern Pentathlon Association of Hong Kong,China and the Guangdong Modern Pentathlon Association have joined hands to build a training base for Hong Kong students, and the first training base has been selected in the ZWIS in Guangzhou City, aiming at providing a professional training platform for all the Hong Kong children studying in the Greater Bay Area.
The school's Modern Pentathlon Training Programme will provide professional training for five sports, namely fencing, swimming, equestrian, shooting and running, and will lead students to participate in competitions in Guangdong Province, China and even international competitions. Through scientific and systematic training, students will have the opportunity to be registered as Hong Kong athletes, and eventually develop into elite athletes in Hong Kong.
In addition, students with outstanding achievements also have the opportunity to be admitted to the eight universities in Hong Kong, including the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, through the ‘Student Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme’ launched by the University Grants Committee (UGC). This co-operation not only provides a high-level training platform for young athletes in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, but also promotes exchanges and integration of sports culture among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

在儀式上，中黃教育集團董事長黃海峯先生表示，廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校一直緊跟粵港澳大灣區發展的時代步伐，堅持以中西融合全人教育培養德智體美勞全面發展的優秀青少年，重視體育教育發展，學校開設了中華武術、射擊、擊劍、馬術、帆船、游泳、棒壘球、曲棍球等二十餘項體育課程，滿足學生們多元化的興趣需求，“我們期待，在中黃港澳子弟學校的訓練基地，基於中國香港現代五項總會和廣東現代五項協會的專業教練團隊、科學系統的訓練方法、豐富的國內外賽事經驗，以及中黃港澳子弟學校中西融合的課程和個性化培養，一定能爲中黃學子提供更高質量的體育課程和體育發展項目，爲國家輸送更多德才兼備的未來體育精英。”
At the ceremony, Mr. Haifeng Wong, Chairman of ZWIE, said that ZWIS has been following the pace of the development of the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area, and has been insisting on fostering outstanding young people with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, beauty and labour by means of holistic education integrating the East and the West and attaching importance to the development of physical education, with more than 20 physical education courses, such as Chinese wushu, archery, sword-fighting, equestrianism, sailing, swimming, baseball and softball and hockey, to meet the diversified interest needs of students. ‘We hope that the professional coaching team of the Modern Pentathlon Association of Hong Kong,China and the Guangdong Modern Pentathlon Association, the scientific and systematic training methods, the rich experience in domestic and overseas competitions, as well as the Chinese and Western fusion curriculum and personalised training of the school will provide a higher quality of sports training for the students of the school,’ said Mr. Wang. We will be able to provide our students with higher quality sports programmes and sports development projects, and send more future sports elites of both integrity and talent to our country.’

中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會義務副祕書長黃寶基表示：“中國香港奧委會現代五項總會與廣東現代五項協會在廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校共同建立現代五項體育人才培養基地。這不僅是對體育精神的傳承與弘揚，更是對灣區未來體育人才培養的深遠佈局。我堅信，在雙方的共同努力下，基地將成爲孕育精英體育人才的搖籃，爲香港、爲祖國的體育事業注入新的活力與希望。”
Mr Wong Po-kee, Honorary Deputy Secretary General of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China said: ‘The Modern Pentathlon Association of the Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, and the Guangdong Modern Pentathlon Association have jointly established a Modern Pentathlon Talent Cultivation Base at the ZWIS in Guangzhou. This is not only a legacy and promotion of the spirit of sport, but also a far-reaching plan for the training of future sports talents in the Bay Area. I firmly believe that with the joint efforts of both parties, the base will become a cradle for nurturing elite sports talents, injecting new vigour and hope into the sports industry in Hong Kong and the Motherland.’

廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校校長翟培琦博士表示，進入新時代，我們應該培養擁有多項特長、全面發展的“梳型”人才，ZWIS注重培養學生的自律、毅力與專注力，這恰恰與現代五項運動的精神內核是契合的，“現代五項是國際賽事，具有國際影響力，學生作為基地培養對象，有機會與世界各地的運動員交流學習，參加各級賽事，如在國際賽事中獲獎，還獲得香港乃至世界名校的青睞，對學生的發展意義重要。”
Dr. Peggy Zhai, Principal of ZWIS, said that in the new era, we should cultivate ‘comb-type’ talents with broad general knowledge, and ZWIS focuses on cultivating self-discipline, perseverance and concentration of students, which is exactly in line with the spirit of the core of Modern Pentathlon, ‘Modern Pentathlon is an international event with international influence, and students, as the target of base training, have the opportunity to participate in exchanges and learning with athletes all over the world. The establishment of this professional sports talent training base is not only a further promotion of pentathlon, but also a step towards nurturing elite athletes with all-round qualities and international competitiveness for the future. We hope that the students will treasure this valuable learning and training opportunity, make full use of the quality resources and top professional guidance provided by the base, and continue to challenge themselves, train their bodies and minds, and become stronger and better versions of themselves.’

About THE MODERN PENTATHLON ASSOCIATION OF HONG KONG,CHINA
中國香港現代五項總會於2021年正式成立，現爲國際現代五項聯盟（UIPM）成員及中國香港體育協會暨奧林匹克委員會（港協暨奧委會）屬會中國香港羣衆體育聯會之成員。總會集中了項目專業優勢，並整合教育、文化、科技等資源，以在香港大力推廣、普及和發展現代五項運動爲目標，致力爲運動員、教練員、裁判員及愛好者們搭建和完善競技和參與的專業平臺，通過現代五項全面發展的特質提升羣衆的身體素質，同時爲現代五項運動的產業化提供積極助力，並以體育爲橋樑支持香港積極融入國家發展大局。
The Modern Pentathlon Association of Hong Kong,China was officially established in 2021, and is now a member of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation (UIPM) and a member of the Hong Kong, China Public Sports Federation, an affiliate of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC). The Association focuses on the professional strengths of the sport and integrates resources in education, culture and technology, with the objective of promoting, popularising and developing modern pentathlon in Hong Kong. It is committed to building and improving a professional platform for athletes, coaches, referees and enthusiasts to compete and participate in the sport, to enhance the physical fitness of the general public through the all-rounded development of modern pentathlon, and at the same time, to provide active assistance for the industrialisation of the sport, and to serve as a bridge for the sports industry to develop the sport. At the same time, it will provide positive assistance to the industrialisation of modern pentathlon and support Hong Kong's active integration into the overall development of the country through the use of sports as a bridge.
