In 2004, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) first proposed the concept of ESG, advocating for environmental, social and governance issues in investment. After twenty years, ESG has become the mainstream of investment and business operations in many countries worldwide, among which, Germany's performance in the field of ESG is particularly positive, the German government continues to improve information disclosure standards and develop ESG impact assessment methods. German business community is also actively responding to ESG issues. More and more companies are committed to achieving net zero emissions, and through cooperation with partners in the value chain, improve data quality, reduce carbon emissions and jointly address social challenges. At the same time, China has also made significant progress in the field of ESG, but it still faces many challenges in the process of ESG practice, such as inconsistent information disclosure standards and low relevance of evaluation systems as well as capacity building.
In this context, we are holding the "Seminar on Sino-German ESG Practice", inviting ESG experts from both countries to share their experiences and best practices in the ESG field, and jointly promote the application of ESG in China through Sino-German cooperation to meet the needs of global low carbon development. We sincerely invite you to participate in the " Seminar on Sino-German ESG Practice", which will be held on September 5th.This event is jointly organized by the German Energy Center & College and the Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center, co-organized by the German Energy Agency(dena)，Tongji University & Sustainable Green Construction and supported by the German Sustainable Building Council(DGNB).
2004年，联合国环境规划署首次提出ESG概念，提倡在投资中关注环境、社会、治理问题。二十年后的今天，ESG已成为国际上众多国家投资和企业运营的主流，其中，德国在ESG领域的表现尤为积极，德国政府不断提高信息披露标准，持续开发ESG影响评估方法，德国企业界也在积极响应ESG议题，越来越多的企业承诺实现净零排放，并通过与价值链上的伙伴合作，提高数据质量、减少碳排放共同应对社会挑战。同时，中国在ESG领域也取得了显著的进步，但在ESG实践过程中仍面临不少挑战，如信息披露标准不统一及质量不高、评价体系相关性不高、投资者教育、人才建设等。
在这一背景下，我们举办此次“中德ESG实践交流研讨会”，邀请中德两国ESG领域专家分享其在ESG领域的经验和最佳实践，共同探讨如何通过中德合作进一步推进ESG在中国的广泛应用，以适应全球可持续发展的需求。我们诚挚地邀请您参加此次“中德ESG实践交流研讨会”，活动将于9月5日举办。本次活动由德国能源中心及学院与上海市能效中心联合主办，由德国能源署、同济大学和永续绿建协办，并得到德国可持续建筑委员会的支持。

关于上海市能效中心
上海市能效中心是上海市经济和信息化委员会所属的公益二类事业单位，其宗旨是以公共利益为核心和出发点，积极开展绿色低碳领域政策研究、项目评估、技术鉴定、宣传教育等方面的工作。具体职能主要包括：研究绿色低碳政策, 推进节能降碳管理, 实施绿色低碳评价, 开展绿色技术鉴定和传播绿色低碳信息等。上海市能效中心为上海市唯一一家财政部国家发改委第三方节能量审核机构、上海市唯一一家工信部 “工业节能与绿色发展评价中心”、上海市碳排放核查第三方机构及上海市节能量审核机构。
