新學期，廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校校長翟培琦博士爲在座的家長和同學們送上了最誠摯的祝福。

In the new term, Dr. Peggy Zhai, Principal of ZWIS, gave her blessings to all the parents and students.‘The essence of education is to light a flame rather than fill a bottle, so we are committed to creating an all-encompassing, multi-dimensional learning platform where every student can find his or her own interests and achieve all-round development. We always upholds whole-person education, focusing not only on the solid mastery of basic knowledge, but also emphasising the cultivation of innovative thinking and practical skills. We encourage students to go out of the classroom to participate in social practice, understand social dynamics, and enhance their sense of social responsibility. At the same time, we also pay great attention to the emotional education and personality shaping of students, through psychological counselling, team building and other activities, to help students build self-confidence, learn to co-operate and know how to be grateful. Students, welcome to this big family full of love and hope! Ms Teresa Yang, Vice Principal of ZWIS, likewise sent her blessings to the students, ‘Today, you stand on a new starting point, a beginning full of infinite possibilities. Here, you will open the treasury of knowledge, explore the mysteries of science, appreciate the charm of culture and cultivate the sentiment of art. We have prepared a series of well-designed programmes and activities for you, aiming to stimulate your potential, broaden your horizons and lay a solid foundation for your all-round development. So that every student can find his or her own stage here, show himself or herself, and achieve self-fulfilment. We encourage you to try, dare to innovate, with wisdom and sweat to write their own wonderful chapter. May you be able to keep your beginnings, defy difficulties, and go forward in the days ahead; may you be able to thrive under the common care of home and school, and blossom into an even brighter lustre in the years to come!’

Parent-School Meeting
新學期，也是家校共建的新起點，入學第一天，學生、家長與老師們也進行了一場別開生面的家校見面會，從PYP、MYP到DP、DSE、美高，所有項目的老師都一一和大家見面，新的學期，讓我們一起加油和努力，爲孩子們的明天奮鬥！
The new term is also a new starting point for home-school co-construction. On the first day of the school year, students, parents and teachers had a special home-school meeting, from PYP, MYP to DP, DSE, ZWA, all the teachers came to the stage sharing their feelings one by one. In the new term, let's work hard for our children's tomorrow!

不一樣的開學典禮
Opening ceremony
咚咚鏘咚咚鏘！
畫龍點睛，富貴祥瑞；
我們的開學典禮，
由熱鬧的舞獅表演為大家開啟新篇章；
中黃教育集團督學黃顯弟先生、廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校校長翟培琦博士、副校長楊利霞女士、學術主管James Lau，為獅子“點睛”。
金鼓齊鳴，群獅送福；
中流擊水展豪情，黃雲萬里任遨遊。
希望生龍活虎的獅子給大家帶來好運！
新學期，我們一起加油吧！
隨後，廣州市中黃港澳子弟學校校長翟培琦博士、副校長楊利霞女士用一首特別的《勇氣》向同學們送上了新的祝願，祝福大家在新學期裏向着夢想進發，勇往直前，學校將會成爲大家最堅實的後盾！
教師代表Marques向大家送上了來自自己家鄉的樂器表演，用琴聲送給大家歡樂！
最後，ZWIS合唱團帶來了歌曲《This is me》，將氣氛推向高潮。
To highlight the dragon, the school was blessed with a richness and auspiciousness;Supervisor of ZWIE，Mr Huang xiandi; Dr. Peggy Zhai, Principal of ZWIS; Ms Teresa Yang,Vice Principal of ZWIS; and James Lau, Academic Head of ZWIS,eye-dotting the lion.
The golden drums were beating and the lions were sending blessings to the students;
We hope that the lions will bring good luck to everyone!
We are going to be a great success in the new school year!
Let's work hard together in the new term!
Later, Dr. Zhai and Ms Yang sang a song called ‘Courage’ to send new wishes to students, wishing them all the best of luck in the new semester, and the school will be a solid support for all of them!
Then,Mr Marques gave a performance of his home town musical instrument.
Lastly, ZWIS choir sang the song ‘This is me’, brought the atmosphere to a climax.

學生代表的新願望
Student’s speech
學生代表——來自G11的吳運浛同學作爲新生，認爲學校開放的、富有探索精神、知識與個性化發展並長的氛圍深深吸引了他。
“非常喜歡學校的環境和人文氣息，新學期，相信我們會充分運用學校的資源，抓住成長機遇，以學業爲基底，以興趣愛好爲枝葉，充實自己的內心，成長爲能撐起一片天地的大樹，豐富未來的世界！”
Student representative, Wu Yunhan from G11, as a new student, was attracted by the open and exploratory atmosphere of the school, where knowledge and personalisation go hand in hand.
‘I like the environment and the humanistic atmosphere of the school very much!I believe we will make full use of school resources, seize growth opportunities, take academic studies as the foundation, hobbies as the branches and leaves, enrich our hearts, grow into big trees that can hold up a piece of the world, and enrich the future world!'

教師代表的新期許
Teacher's speech
甄泳森老師作為教師代表致辭，他表示非常榮幸能加入ZWIS大家庭，作為新教師代表發表自己的感言。
“作為老師，在新的學期里，我將本著對學生負責、對學校負責的態度，嚴格要求自己，提高課堂效率。對於同學們,我希望你們能夠積極思考、主動學習，保持好奇心和求知慾。同時，希望你們能夠互相幫助、共同進步，形成良好的學習氛圍。我相信，只要我們共同努力，一定能夠取得優異的成績，實現我們的夢想。”
Mr Alex Yan, as the representative of the teachers, said that he was very honoured to join the ZWIS family, and as the representative of the new teachers, he delivered his own speech,‘in the new academic year,l will strive to be responsible for the students and the school, and strictly demand myself to improve classroom efficiency. For the students, l hope you can actively think, proactively learn, maintain curiosity and a desire for knowledge. At the same time, l hope you can help each other, make progress together and create a good learning atmosphere. l believe that as long as we work together, we can achieve excellent results and realise our dreams.’
