Lee Tzu Hsun

Born in Taipei in 1973, Lee Tzu Hsun lived in Germany from 1995 to 2009 and graduated from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with a master's degree in 2003. In 1999, he was awarded the “Kunstakademie Düsseldorf Travel Scholarship” for a study trip to New York. In 2000, he received the “Most Popular Award” at the 54th Art Exhibition of the Museum Baden, Germany. In 2006, he was awarded the “Friedrich–Vordemberg Scholarship” by the City of Cologne, Germany. In 2007, he won the 1st “Bosch Rexroth AG Art Prize.” Lee Tzu-Hsun is considered one of the most representative contemporary artists in Taiwan and now lives and works in Beijing, China.

Lee Tzu Hsun is adept at presenting the mind's illusory feelings about the world with the manipulation of utmost physical reality, and the tension between the two forms the unique appeal of his works. Lee’s work originates from the artist's perception and experience of inner life, which he translates into symbolic images that correspond to each other, and through complex mechanical design, he constructs a continuous running scenic installation. Lee Tzu Hsun's work uses re-fictional imagery to present the invisible nature of the world, and uses a precise and detailed expression to map the relationship between people and the world. His large-scale theatre installations naturally create a dream-time atmosphere and a personal aesthetic style where poetic and rational order coexist. "The Alien Galaxy" series that Lee began to create in 2007is a 'bionic machine' that lies between living and inanimate objects. In this way, Lee Tzu Hsun mimics life forms, exploring whether there are forms of existence outside the human perspective in order to consider a redefinition of the consciousness of life.

Lee Tzu Hsun's work has been invited to major exhibitions in China and abroad and has received much attention. His solo exhibitions include: Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Pace Gallery Beijing, Eslite Gallery in Taipei, and Bundesverband Bildender Künstler Köln. Group exhibitions include: Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, New York, USA; Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Germany; Museum Baden, Solingen, Germany; Maison des Arts Créteil, Créteil, France; Manège Maubeuge, Maubeuge, France; Parc Saint Léger–Centre d'Art Contemporain, Pougues-les-Eaux, France; Provinciaal Centrum voor Beeldende Kunsten–Beginhof, Hasselt, Belgium; Seongsan Art Hall, Changwon, Korea; China Art Museum, Beijing; Taikang Art Museum, Beijing; Today Art Museum, Beijing; Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai; Taipei Biennial; Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taipei; Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei; National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts. His important works are held in collections of public institutions and private collectors, including the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in Taichung, and Yageo Foundation in Taipei.

She is adept at multi-media practice, combing installation, videography, sculpture, painting, photography, happening as well as external composition to convey abundant yet delicate emotions. She often adopts intricate and concise visual language, controversial themes, to lead reflection and spark discussion in both the art world as well as in society.

In 2019, at the invitation of Simon Baker (former chief photography curator at Tate), Guo Yingguang’s first solo exhibition “Guo Yingguang: The Bliss of Happiness” opened at Maison Européenne de la Photographie, making her the first Chinese female artist to hold a solo exhibition at MEP.  After years of reflexivity and creative overthrow to cope with public voices, Guo Yingguang’s second solo exhibition realized in 2022 with a more abstract, integrate and agile method to experiment her practice, continuing her path of two-way critical acceptance on external public/social structure and chimeric art, illustrating individual identity and personal experiences in new perspectives.

Johannes Bosisio

Johannes Bosisio (b. 1994) is an Italian-born artist based in London whose practice spans painting and sculptural installation. His work celebrates transformation, freedom, desire, and hybridization by depicting organic bodies fused with technological prostheses. Through his use of once-smooth and shiny chrome surfaces that are now scratched, rough, and alive, Bosisio reconsiders our relationship with technology and its impact on our lives and identities. His approach is informed by the work of authors Donna Haraway and Andy Clark, and his art challenges traditional boundaries and creates new possibilities by merging organic and technological forms.

Bosisio has exhibited his work internationally and has garnered critical acclaim for his unique style and perspective. His recent solo exhibitions include: (Duo-show w/ Sian Fan) Another Self, Night Café Gallery (London, 2024); It is not made of mud and cannot dream of returning to dust, BROWNIE Project (Shanghai, 2024); (Duo-show w/ Sang Woo Kim)Welcome to my Melancholy, Supermarkt Gallery (Tokyo,2023), Souls from Objects from Souls from Objects From Souls, Zerui Gallery (London, 2022); SHARP HYBRID CRASH, Doris Gehtta Gallery (St. Ulrich, 2022); Hybrids, Project room Cineast (Berlin, 2018). Dori Deng

Scoll Down for English Version

DORI DENG (b.1985) is a Chinese - British multidisciplinary artist living and working in the UK. Dedicated to the medium of projected light, Deng investigated the temporal and structural qualities of the medium and orchestrated unique composition of light, space and time. Deng's art practice balance order and chance - forming harmony by engineering the organic. Her lightworks offer tangible experiences with temporal immediacy. Light as an abstract medium liberated Deng's creativity from the limit of form or scale, her lightworks ranged from sculpture, architectural installation, to staged performances. Light functions as either the object or the subject, but a sensual abstract - a tool to evoke our unaware notion connected to architectural space, further to time.

Over the past decade, Deng advanced her practice through a research-based, experimental-led manner, processed within a rigorous framework of subject-focus series. The subject matters rooted in architecture and music composition, which refer to space and time. The recent completed Termination Series (2015-19) were processed in dialogue with historic architecture, investigating how memory form and translate through the physical construct. Installations were site-specifically created at Palazzo Galli Tassi in Florence, Palazzo Monti in Brescia (IT) and Alte Münze in Berlin (DE). Performances from Rhythm Series (2012-18) and Measuring Series (2009-11) adapted the notation-based method of contemporary dance to reassemble the temporal interaction between the human body and architectural landscape. Performances commissioned by Art Night London (UK), Nuit Blanche Paris (FR), shown at ICA (UK), Southbank Centre (UK), and many more unconventional public spaces.

Deng's sensibility to time through the medium of projected light has further extended her practice in collaboration with contemporary classical and new music. Collaborators include theatre director Netia Jones (UK), musicians Mica Levi (UK), Oliver Coates (UK), and composer Laurence Crane (UK). She has recently created her first large scale stage installation commissioned by Opera Grand Avignon (FR), a new contemporary opera Three Lunar Seas in collaboration with composer Josephine Stephenson (UK/FR), premier in 2023, Avignon, France.

Mahesh Singh

他的近期展览包括:“丘陇软雾”,BROWNIE Project画廊(上海,2024);“TRANSCEND TIME,TRANSCEND SPACE - Discover Art from the World”,斯沃琪和平饭店艺术中心 x 日景时玖(上海,2023);“山!

Mahesh Singh (b. 1985, Bokaro, Jharkhand) was born and brought up in India. He got his BFA and MA degree from Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi and holds an IMFA from the China Academy of Art, specializing in oil and acrylic painting. Influenced by the notions of transformation, transcendence and mystery in eastern religions and philosophies, Singh’s paintings present an inner experience with a sense of vacuum of stillness and eternity. He tends to use distinct or obscure elements to build a picture, which is full of indications to arouse people’s deep thinking. Landscape usually serves as his subject, the carrier of consciousness, dreams and memories. Drawing from his psycho-somatic or psycho-spiritual experiences, Mahesh tries to suffuse his work with an awareness that allows the work to be contemplated and considered on multiple levels. Space and body, vision and psychology, artist and canvas, these connections and dialogues lead the audience to enter the journey of transcendence with intuition and trigger a moment of meditation.

His recent exhibitions include: “Misting the Hillside” , BROWNIE Project (Shanghai, 2024); “TRANSCEND TIME, TRANSCEND SPACE - Discover Art from the World”, Swatch Art Peace Hotel x The Sundial (Shanghai, 2023); “Changsha Mountain Art Festival” (Changsha, 2022); “The Body of Non-body”, BROWNIE Project (Shanghai, 2022); “Post Wave Art Fair, Hua Cui Art Museum (Shanghai, 2021); “Double Shadows - A Contemporary Art Exhibition”, Skyline Art Gallery (Hangzhou 2019); “Asia Art Festival”, Seongsan Art Hall (Changwon, 2019) and etc. His works have been collected widely by private collectors in Asia.

Wang Weijue

Wang Weijue (b.1993, Nanjing, China) obtained a Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College of Liberal Arts in the United States in 2015, and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute in the United States in 2017. Wang Weijue presents not the scene itself, but the emotions that are blurred at the edges, fluid, and in a state of tension, which is related to the characteristics of the material she has long used for creation—wool felt, and also represents, on a strategic level, the unique tone forged by women’s survival and contemplation under institutional pressure. The artist translates the ordinary people’s observation and imagination of desire into the countless needle pricks endured by the flexible material (which both metaphorically implies repetition and subtle violence, and also, under the premise of large-scale works, signifies the artist’s intensive labor), allowing the parts of everyday life that are usually suppressed to manifest as what we see before us: partial bodies with exposed sexual characteristics, faces with expressions between pain and ecstasy, and the texture of home fabrics—their power lies beneath the aesthetic surface.

Some of Weijue’s solo and duo exhibitions include: “Misting the Hillsides”, BROWNIE Project (Shanghai, 2024); “Aphrodite’s Discourse”, JW PROJECT (Singapore, 2023); “Ghost Wedding Dress”, Banana Art Space (Nanjing, 2021), “Gift”, TOKU Gallery (Nanjing, 2020); “A Room of One’s Own”, TOKU Gallery (Nanjing, 2018); Some of her group exhibitions include: “Desire”, EYECANDIES (Shanghai, 2024); “Mold Remover”, DOSE Gallery (Shanghai, 2024); “Keen Shimmer | the Academic Nomination Exhibition of Contemporary Jiangsu Young Artists”, Jiangsu Art Museum (Nanjing, 2023); “Offside”, Yixing Art Museum (Yixing, 2023); “Stendahl Syndrome”, the Green Room (Beijing, 2023); “Absence of God”, Chi K11 Art Museum (Shanghai, 2022); “Until Moon-dust Descend on Us, Contemporary Art Exhibition of Hechai”, Hefei art Museum of Contemporary Art (Hefei, 2022); “Brilliance of All Things”, Bainfootmark Art Center (Suzhou, 2021); “At Home· The 6th Nanjing Contemporary Art Exhibition”, Ninghai Art Museum (Nanjing, 2021); “I am alright”, Toku Gallery (Nanjing, 2021); “Regeneration, Elle Decoration”, Shanghai World Expo (Shanghai, 2021); “New Look”, ShanghART Gallery & Baiziting Art Center (Nanjing, 2020); “Toku Gallery Autum Group Exhibition”, Toku Gallery (Nanjing, 2020); “One Ton Project”, Hengfu Art Center (Shanghai, 2019); “The Writing of Romantic”, 24 Hours Art Gallery (Nanjing, 2019); “Les 4 Coups”, ShanghART M50 Gallery (Shanghai, 2018); “The System of Hypothesis”, Gu An Art Gallery (Nanjing, 2018); “The Art of the Toy”, Arts Benicia (Benicia, 2016); “Superficial”, Diego Gallery (San Francisco, 2016); “Artist Choice, San Francisco Women Artists” (San Francisco, 2016); “Figure & Faces”, Pacific Art League of Palo Alto (Palo Alto, 2016); “Borderless”, Swell Gallery (San Francisco, 2016).
