在周四早晨,国际部的三位外教老师举办了一场别开生面的家庭英语学习与行为管理分享会。活动不仅内容丰富,更充满趣味性,为到场的家长们提供了许多实用的建议和策略,帮助他们在家中更好地支持孩子的学习与行为发展。
分享会围绕以下几个主题展开:
On Thursday morning, three teachers from the international department hosted an engaging and unique workshop on home-based English learning and behaviour management. The workshop was not only informative but also filled with fun, providing parents with practical advice and strategies to better support their children's learning and behavioural development at home.
The workshop focused on the following themes:
PART.01
How to Enhance Home Learning
如何更好地进行居家学习
居家学习的灵活性让我们可以根据孩子的特点,遵循他们的学习节奏。不论成就大小,都应给予适当的鼓励,帮助孩子专注于自己的优势。
Home learning offers flexibility, allowing activities to align with children's individual characteristics and learning rhythms. It's important to provide appropriate encouragement, regardless of the size of achievements, to help children focus on their strengths.
准备一些趣味性和创造性的手工互动活动,激发孩子对学习的兴趣。
Prepare interactive and creative activities, such as crafts, to spark children's interest in learning.
家庭成员的共同参与对孩子的学习起着积极作用,能为他们营造一个支持性环境。
Involvement from family members plays a positive role, creating a supportive environment for children.
多样化学习环境也很重要,例如在天气晴朗时,带孩子到户外草地上阅读英文绘本,换个场景有助于提高专注力。
Varied learning environments are also important. For instance, on sunny days, reading English picture books outdoors can refresh their focus and enthusiasm.

Creating an Optimal Learning Space
如何创造更好的学习空间
合理划分家庭空间,例如学习桌专用于学习,游戏地毯可以用来搭积木,安静角落可设置为阅读区。明确功能分区有助于孩子培养空间使用的规则感。
Organise spaces at home for specific purposes: a desk for studying, a play mat for building blocks, and a quiet corner for reading. Clear functional divisions help children develop a sense of structure.
Mr. Tyler在现场通过两个桌子的对比实验(整洁的Table 1与凌乱的Table 2),引导家长思考环境对孩子专注力的影响。一位家长被邀请整理凌乱的桌子,体验如何优化学习空间。
Mr Tyler demonstrated the impact of the environment on concentration through a comparison experiment: one tidy table versus a messy one. Parents were invited to tidy the messy table, experiencing how an organised space can optimise learning.

The Importance of Reward Mechanisms
奖励机制的重要性
Mr. Henry通过互动展示了家长如何利用夸张语言和活动吸引孩子注意力,完成任务后给予小奖励,例如击掌或短暂休息,激励孩子积极参与。
Mr Henry showcased how parents can use exaggerated language and activities to capture children's attention, offering small rewards, like a high-five or a short break, upon task completion to motivate active participation.
设定具体目标(如完成一行单词奖励贴纸)能增加孩子的自信心和成就感。分享孩子的进步也会让他们更有动力继续努力。
Setting specific goals (e.g., earning a sticker for completing a line of words) can boost children’s confidence and sense of accomplishment. Sharing their progress with them also reinforces their motivation.

如何帮助孩子改掉不良行为习惯

当孩子情绪激动时,鼓励他们先冷静下来,比如深呼吸或接受拥抱,之后再与他们探讨问题,理解他们的情感需求。
When a child becomes emotional, encourage them to calm down first, using techniques like deep breathing or a hug. Afterwards, discuss the issue and understand their emotional needs.

多给予鼓励,例如在孩子用筷子吃饭时,即便衣服弄脏,也可以先表扬他吃完了蔬菜,再温和地提醒如何保持衣服整洁。
Focus on encouragement. For example, if a child eats with chopsticks but spills on their clothes, praise their effort in eating vegetables before gently teaching them how to stay clean.

Set clear time limits for activities, such as saying, “Ten minutes left” or “We’ll start the next activity in three minutes,” to develop their sense of time.

孩子是家长的镜子,他们会模仿家庭成员的行为和情绪管理。家长应以身作则,营造舒适温馨的家庭氛围,给予孩子良好的情绪支持。
Children mirror their parents’ behaviours and emotional responses. Parents should lead by example, creating a warm and supportive home environment.
外教老师们通过引人入胜的讲解、贴近生活的实例,以及家长们的积极互动,为大家带来了可操作性强的建议和工具。这次分享会不仅加强了家校沟通,还为家长们赋能,帮助他们为孩子营造更好的成长环境。

Through captivating explanations, relatable examples, and active parent participation, the teachers provided actionable advice and tools.
