Annual Conference 2024 of the World Association of Chinese Architects and the 20th Anniversary Forum of "Tracing and Exploring" was held in Ji'nan, Shandong


10月26日至27日，世界华人建筑师协会2024年年会暨“溯源与探新”纪念创会20周年学术论坛在山东济南隆重举行。本次会议由世界华人建筑师协会主办，山东建筑大学+山东省建筑设计研究院有限公司联合承办，《建筑师》杂志社、《新建筑》杂志社、《华中建筑》杂志社、《建筑技艺》杂志社、《城市建筑空间》杂志社、《城市 空间 设计》杂志社、《城市 环境 设计》杂志社、《西部人居环境学刊》杂志社、《世界华人建筑师学报》杂志社、凤凰网、大众网、《济南日报》、《齐鲁晚报》等提供媒体支持。截至11月12日，世界华人建筑师协会成立二十周年纪念活动的相关报道在凤凰新闻地方网阅读量近200万人次。
On October 26-27, Annual Conference 2024 of the World Association of Chinese Architects and the 20th Anniversary Forum of "Tracing and Exploring" was held in Ji'nan, Shandong. The conference is hosted by World Association of Chinese Architects, and co-organized by Shandong Jianzhu University + Shandong Provincial Architectural Design Institute Co. Ltd. Media support is provided by platforms such as THE ARCHITECT, NEW ARCHITECTURE, HUAZHONG ARCHITECTURE, ARCHITECTURE TECHNIQUE, URBAN ARCHITECTURE SPACE， URBAN FLUX， URBAN ENVIRONMENT DESIGN， JOURNAL OF HUMAN SETTLEMENTS IN WEST CHINA, JOURNAL OF WORLD CHINESE ARCHITECTS, Phoenix Net, Dazhong Net, Ji'nan Daily, Qilu Evening News, etc. As of November 12th, the relevant reports on the 20th anniversary activity of the World Association of Chinese Architects forwarded by Phoenix Network in various regions had nearly 2 million views.
26日下午，世界华人建筑师协会第七届第三次常务理事（扩大）会议在山东省建筑设计研究院有限公司举行。会长张伶伶、副会长王兴田、第七届名誉会长沈埃迪、终身荣誉理事曹亮功、监事张新平、秘书长黄勇及协会常务理事、名誉理事、理事和会员出席会议。山东省建筑设计研究院有限公司董事长侯伟致辞欢迎，黄勇秘书长对本年度秘书处工作进行了报告。会议对“ WACA 20年人物奖”提名人物进行了表决，参会人员对于协会的发展问题进行了充分讨论与交流，张伶伶会长与张新平监事分别发言，对协会20年来的发展现状和未来发展方向进行了总结。
On the afternoon of the 26th, the 3rd Executive Council (Enlarged) Meeting of the 7th Session of WACA was held in Shandong Provincial Architectural Design Institute Co. Ltd. President Zhang Lingling, Vice President Wang Xingtian, 7th Honorary President Shen Edward, Lifetime Honorary Director Cao Lianggong, Supervisor Zhang Xinping, Secretary General Huang Yong and Executive Directors, Honorary Directors, Directors and Members attended the meeting. Hou Wei, Chairman of the Board of Shandong Provincial Architectural Design Institute Co. Ltd., delivered a speech of welcome. Secretary General Huang Yong reported on the work of the Secretariat this year. The meeting voted on the nominees for the "Person of 20 Years Award of WACA", and the attendees had sufficient discussions and exchanges on the development issues of the association. President Zhang Lingling and Supervisor Zhang Xinping gave speeches respectively, summarizing the current development status and future development direction of the association over the past 20 years.

27日世界华人建筑师协会“溯源与探新”创会20周年学术论坛在山东建筑大学博学会堂隆重举行，受到了业界的广泛关注和参与，现场共计300多人参会。论坛开幕式由山东建筑大学副校长赵继龙主持，山东建筑大学校长于德湖、山东省住房和城乡建设厅专员闫兴利、山东省勘察设计协会建筑创作委员会主任委员、山东省建筑设计研究院有限公司总建筑师侯朝晖、香港建筑师学会义务秘书长张广扬分别致辞。
On the 27th, the 20th Anniversary Forum of "Tracing and Exploring" of WACA was held in Boxue Hall of Shandong Jianzhu University, attracting widespread attention and participation from the industry. More than 300 people attended the activity. The opening ceremony of the forum was presided over by Zhao Jilong, Vice President of Shandong Jianzhu University. Yu Dehu, President of Shandong Jianzhu University, Yanxingli, Commissioner of Housing and Urban Rural Development Department of Shandong Province, Hou Zhaohui, Director of Architectural Creation Committee of Shandong Exploration and Design Association, Chief Architect of Shandong Provincial Architectural Design Institute Co. LTD., Thomas Cheung, Voluntary Secretary General of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects delivered speeches separately.

世华建协二十周年纪念活动由王兴田副会长主持，张伶伶会长在20周年致辞中强调了协会所背负的责任与使命，并向20年来为协会发展做出卓越贡献的协会会员致敬。二十周年纪念活动包括了“世华建协二十周年志庆”泰山玉印章揭幕、“WACA 20年人物奖”、2024年《世界华人建筑师学报》纪念专辑、创会20周年回顾展和纪念册发布。“WACA 20年人物奖”获得者：世华建协第四届会长黄如楷、世华建协第五届至第六届会长、第七届名誉会长沈埃迪、世华建协第一届至第四届常务理事曹亮功、世华建协第二届至第五届常务理事朱祖明。
The 20th anniversary commemorative activity of WACA was presided over by Vice President Wang Xingtian. President Zhang Lingling emphasized the responsibility and mission of the association in 20th anniversary speech, and paid tribute to the members who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the association over the past 20 years. The 20th anniversary commemorative activities include the unveiling of Taishan Jade Commemorative Seal， "Person of 20 Years Award of WACA", Release of 2024 JOURNAL OF WORLD CHINESE ARCHITECTS and 20th anniversary collection exhibition and commemorative album. "Person of 20 Years Award of WACA" are: Huang Rukai, the 4th President of the WACA; Shen Edward, the 5th to 6th President and 7th Honorary President of WACA; Cao Lianggong, the 1st to 4th Executive Director of WACA; and Zhu Zuming, the 2nd to 5th Executive Director of WACA.

上午主讲人第十四届全国政协常委、《文史哲》杂志主编、儒学高等研究院院长王学典主讲《儒家思想的本来面目及其特征》，深刻探讨了儒家思想在现代社会中的应用价值；法国建筑科学院院士、同济大学原常务副校长、亚洲建筑师协会副主席伍江主讲《城市空间的文化属性》，指出城市不仅是最大尺度的人类物质产品，也是最大尺度的人类文化产品。城市空间的核心属性表现在其物质性、社会性和精神性，即其文化属性。
In the morning, Wang Xuedian, Standing Committee Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Editor in Chief of the Journal of LITERATURE, HISTORY, AND PHILOSOPHY, and Dean of the Advanced Institute for Confucian Studies, gave a speech titled "The True Nature and Characteristics of Confucianism", deeply explored the application value of Confucianism in modern society;  Wu Jiang, Academician of the French Academy of Architectural Sciences, former Executive Vice President of Tongji University, Vice Chairman of the Architects Regional Council Asia, gave a speech titled "The Cultural Attributes of Urban Space", pointed out that cities are not only the largest scale human material products, but also the largest scale human cultural products. The core attributes of urban space are manifested in its materiality, sociality, and spirituality, namely its cultural attributes.

下午演讲人逢甲大学建筑专业学院室内/创新学程主任李元荣介绍了逢甲大学从建造和材料角度出发开展具有社会责任感的在地建筑实践情况；华阳国际设计集团创作中心设计总监熊嘉伟分享了在城市改造与更新项目实践工作中关于重塑城市个性的一些思考；立建筑师事务所主持建筑师廖伟立介绍了立建筑事务所扎根本土、充满在地性与人文关怀的建筑创作；LWK香港梁黄顾建筑设计事务所董事陈国伟分享了在城市老旧社区改造项目中的思考与面对的挣扎。黄勇秘书长和张新平监事主持演讲。
In the afternoon, Lee Yuan-Jung, Director of Interior Design/Innovation of School of Architecture of Feng Chia University, introduced the practical situation of local architecture with a sense of social responsibility from the perspectives of construction and materials at Feng Chia University; Gary Xiong, Design Director of CAPOL International & Associates Group Design Hub, shared some thoughts on reshaping urban personality in the practical work of urban renovation and renewal projects; Liao Wei-Li, Principal Architect of AMBi Studio, introduced the firm's architectural creations that are rooted in the local area, full of local characteristics and humanistic care; Benjamin Chan, Director of LWK + PARTNERS, shared thoughts and struggles in the renovation project of old urban communities. Secretary General Huang Yong and Supervisor Zhang Xinping presided over the speech.

27日晚，年会同期活动中国建筑学会学生分会『未来学社』读书会（济南站）在山东建筑大学建艺馆举行，活动主题为“文化思辨与建筑创新”。重庆大学教授张亦弛、东南大学副教授寿焘、华中农业大学副教授章莉、山东建筑大学副教授于涓、山东建筑大学讲师杨阳受邀为本次参与活动同学的分享内容进行专业点评。
On the evening of the 27th, conference simultaneous activity: the 'Future Study Society' Reading Club (Ji'nan Station) of the Student Branch of the Architectural Society of China was held in Jianyi Building of Shandong Jianzhu University, with the theme of "Cultural Deliberation and Architectural Innovation". Professor Zhang Yichi from Chongqing University, Associate Professor Shoutao from Southeast University, Associate Professor Zhang Li from Huazhong Agricultural University, Associate Professor Yu Juan from Shandong Jianzhu University, and Lecturer Yang Yang from Shandong Jianzhu University were invited to provide professional comments on the sharing content of the participating students in this event.

10月28日，世界华人建筑师协会对淄博颜神古镇开展了文化考察，实地参观了颜神古镇历史街区和建筑的活化更新与文化传承理念，并深入了解颜神古镇在保护历史文化和发展文旅产业等方面的做法与经验。当地相关政府部门负责人及古镇运营团队热情介绍了传统文化，工艺美术艺术家向考察人员展现了精湛的传统手工艺技法。
On October 28th, WACA conducted a cultural study in Yenscheng Tschann in Zibo, Shandong，and conducted an on-site visits to explore the revitalization and cultural heritage concepts of the historical blocks and buildings in Yenscheng Tschann, and gained a deeper understanding of Yenscheng Tschann's practices and experiences in protecting historical culture and developing the cultural tourism industry. The heads of relevant local government departments and the operation team of the ancient town warmly introduced traditional culture, and the arts and crafts artists demonstrated exquisite traditional handicraft techniques.
