It is a city of vitality and fashion, youth and edge, where the “century-old commercial port” records poetry and dreams. In the summer of 1904, the piercing whistle of a steam train shattered Jinan’s tranquility as the Jiaoji Railway was fully opened. Trains laden with German goods rolled in, opening Jinan’s doors to the world, making it one of China’s earliest and most successful cities to embrace openness to the outside.

It is a city of vigor and growth, strength and confidence, nurturing endless possibilities with “pillars of the nation”. Jinan is the world’s largest production base for hyaluronic acid and cephalosporins, Asia’s largest base for phenolic resin and powder metallurgy, and the nation’s largest center for heavy trucks and UHV power transmission equipment. It’s also China’s leading northern laser equipment hub, with 2023 seeing Jinan’s production of new energy vehicles rank among the country’s top ten.
是招商与引资，招才与引智，“动能突破”带来更多新质生产力。2023年，济南招商引资项目库新增招商项目3600余个，其中落地项目1300余个。全市高技术产业实际使用外资占比25.7%，较2022年增长13.14百分点，新设外商投资企业同比增长6.37%。此外，济南在努力做大增量的同时，也在注重存量企业的服务工作，数据显示，2023年外企座谈会所提诉求事项的办结率达到91.9%，让跨国公司、广大企业也看到了济南广阔的市场前景和发展动能，越来越多的企业以长周期视角规划在济南的发展和经营策略。
It is a city of investment attraction, talent recruitment, and innovation, where “dynamic breakthroughs” bring new-quality productivity. In 2023, Jinan added over 3,600 new projects to its investment portfolio, with more than 1,300 of them landing successfully. The share of actual foreign investment in the city’s high-tech industries rose to 25.7%, up 13.14 percentage points from 2022, while the establishment of foreign-funded enterprises increased by 6.37% year-on-year. Alongside efforts to expand its growth, Jinan also emphasizes service for existing enterprises. In 2023, 91.9% of issues raised at foreign enterprise forums were resolved, showcasing the city’s promising market potential and growth momentum. More and more businesses are now planning their development and operational strategies in Jinan with a long-term perspective.
