The construction industry is actively implementing the ESG principles and accelerating an integrated transformation in environmental, social, and governance. Green technology innovation serves as a crucial driver for the ESG-focused evolution. Recycled lump concrete technology, as a cutting-edge green solution, has shown potential benefits, such as low energy consumption, cement conservation, and high solid waste utilization, thus overcoming the technical bottlenecks of traditional waste concrete recycling. This presentation uses this technology as an example to investigate the influence of green technology innovation on ESG performance and explore the ESG practice pathways in the construction industry from a perspective of technology-organization co-construction. The presentation begins by outlining the technology’s innovative principles, current applications, and scaling potential, it delves into a thorough analysis of the technology’s multidimensional impact on ESG performance. Finally, based on the inter-constructive relationship between technological innovation and cross-organizational governance, the presentation proposes ESG practice pathways in the construction industry, offering insights into an industry-level ESG framework.
